port does not display on the TV what do I do?

First please do a power cycle of the console

Power cycle your console by pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turning it on again

If that does not work, please try to plug in the Xbox on another display, also try using another HDMI cable, we are looking to isolate the problem to see if it is the display, the cable, or the Xbox the one who is causing the issue.

as of now, ive tried power cycling it, pluging it into another tv, pluging it into another hdmi port, and resetting the display settings. I do not have another console to try and plug into the tv. None of it worked and i still have no idea what is going
on.

Hmm, do other consoles/PCs display correctly with that HDMI Cable, on the same port, on the same TV?

There are a few things to help identify where the issue is, some might not work if you don't have the equipment, but it'll help find out where the problem actually is:

Start with the cable:

• Try a different cable with same device and same port on TV
  
• Try that same cable to a different device, see if it displays
  

Check port on TV:

• Check that cable into a different port on the TV
  
• Make sure the input and the port match for the TV
  

Check the TV:

• Can other devices connect and display on that port/input
  

Check the device:

• Does the device display on other displays? With different cables?
  

But maybe it could be your TV's problem. What kind of TV do you use, and does it support your resolution/display of your currently selected Xbox's settings?
