Pop Up Notifications - Game Interruption

Just had this happen to me today for the first time.

I was mid-game with installations happening in the background. Numerous small skin installations for Killer Instinct when I got a pop up to say there's not enough space to install the add on covering the game and making me a sitting duck. I chose to cancel it and since there were tons on installations pending it went onto the next one and again the pop up appeared. So I clicked to free space up to stop them from appearing. After clicking free up space the next pop up came on which means the next installation began when it's already been established that there's not much space for an installation of any kind. So basically I had to find an opening to quickly remove something to stop them from appearing.

My ideas to combat this:

• 
  not pop up any kind of full notification if the user is ingame or a to have the small minimised notification that appears on the bottom centre of the screen to say installation stopped not enough space.
  
  
• 
  and not to move to the next installation if the "free up space option" is chosen giving you the opportunity to clear data for the current and subsequent installations
