    Pop Up Notifications - Game Interruption


    Just had this happen to me today for the first time.

    I was mid-game with installations happening in the background. Numerous small skin installations for Killer Instinct when I got a pop up to say there's not enough space to install the add on covering the game and making me a sitting duck. I chose to cancel it and since there were tons on installations pending it went onto the next one and again the pop up appeared. So I clicked to free space up to stop them from appearing. After clicking free up space the next pop up came on which means the next installation began when it's already been established that there's not much space for an installation of any kind. So basically I had to find an opening to quickly remove something to stop them from appearing.

    My ideas to combat this:


    • not pop up any kind of full notification if the user is ingame or a to have the small minimised notification that appears on the bottom centre of the screen to say installation stopped not enough space.


    • and not to move to the next installation if the "free up space option" is chosen giving you the opportunity to clear data for the current and subsequent installations

    Same thing happening here. It seems like I get message notifications, but my acheivments almost never pop up. I just got four achievements in dead rising and not one of them actually popped up on screen. I sure hope they fix this

    Yeah, for me sometimes it affects the messages being sent and being able to see messages and your friend's list. Mainly messages.
    Ok thanks. As long as its more of a “normal” thing that can happen. I guess it could be a glitch with the series x/s on the system now as well?

    Go to Settings, select Preferences, and then select Notifications to check if you have disabled the pop up notifications. If that doesn't help follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray

    2. Click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times

    3. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts off.

    If you are a member of the preview program you should check the apposite forums regarding preview program issues.

    Well yeah, it's the services it sometimes can go down at random times. If something like that happens just tell your friend to go to https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status
