Poor range of Xbox One controller

Yeah it may be down to a controller fault and replacement is needed. Hopefully not though and you can get a quick resolve. Sorry to hear about the issues bro.

 

Just tested two other controllers still very poor signal. Conclusion or my console i faulty or xbox one have s..t signal range overall which would not be very good news

 

Like it has been mentioned, it could be down just to how your house is laid out. Looking on the Support forums I've seen others like you say they only have to go a short distance away from the console and the controller disconnects.

Others seem to be able to go further and the controller stays on.

I'm sure Xbox Support will be able to tell you if there's a problem or not.

But 360 controller works fine and you should expect at least the same range from new console not worst

 

I hope it isn't but I'm guessing it could be a fault of some kind then mate. As I said before I took my controller into the kitchen with me, just now I got my daughter to take it out to the garden, a good 40 ft away from the console where she was and it
still didn't disconnect.

 

I will call Microsoft tomorrow and see what they say

I often go outside to have a smoke when i'm in a party and the connection has been fine. (So far.)

To be fair though mate, she was nearest at the time as I ordered her to make me a cup of tea aswell

 

Called Microsoft today (couldn't understand what he was saying poor connection again and accent)l they suggested to put kinect as high as possible still no improvement and the end they said to replace console. Called john lewis because it is less than
28 days console can be replace immediately at any shop which I will do it tomorrow if they got in stock near by me

 

At least you will get it sorted now

 

Console arrived I will check tomorrow. My question is where I can find when console was build? Label on top of the box is worn with date. Can I find somewhere else?

 

I really wouldn't worry too much about that mate, just try it as soon as you can and hopefully problem solved. If not you know it's a problem with your flat so get down the estate agents sharpIsh Fingers crossed for a fix!

 

Just tested little improvment not a big change but always something but still nothing compare to old xbox. I think I will buy 5m usb lead and then all my problems will go
