pool nation thoughts

was looking forward to this game on games with gold but oh boy what an awful game not a patch on pure pool. first it takes forever to load which is strange considering its just a pool game. second the user interface is awful and clunkly slow.

the game itself to many buttons to press no fine adjustment when moving cue stick and finally the graphics are poor. if you want a decent pool game stick with pure pool much better in my opinion

Really they dont have a Standard UK pool skin of Red/Yellow, apart from that i might venture into this game

 

Oh well I was coming to ask if its better than pure pool so I'll just move along now lol

 

Had a brief go last night & thought it was ok.Shall give it a proper go later.

 

I think the game graphics are really nice. However, it looks as though the developers spent too much time adding lots of pointless content (decals, wacky ball sets etc.) rather than concentrating on the game physics.

It plays awfully. You can barely see the balls moving when they're hit at speed, only when they slow down, which then stop abruptly. Very unrealistic physics. The ball movement is that bad it makes me wonder if the wrong version has been submitted? Or it's
a bug or something?

It's a shame because there's lots of game modes to choose from, including UK 8-ball and snooker which is something Pure Pool is sorely lacking.

 

Achievements look like a grind... Not played it yet will do tonight.

 

Not a fan of pool games but ill give a try soon..might be easy achievements

 

having played this game a bit more it does a fine tune button but i still standby the fact pure pool is the better game

 

The physics and controls are just as bad as the 360 version unfortunately - and even worse, the Xbox One version has major performance issues. The framerate seems to be anywhere between 15 and 25fps. Constantly.

Not to mention the 4-5 minute loading time when you launch it, THEN the 2 minute loading screen whenever you try to do anything.

I don't know how they messed up the port so badly. I'm glad it was free, I'll stick to Pure Pool.

 

Wow this game stinks feel ripped off getting it free going to buy the other pool game as I fancy a game and got kids here so cant goto pub

 

Have this on pc and really like it. Will download this now and see how bad it really is.

 

I only played 2 matches in career mode. Don't really like that it starts with 9 ball but anyway the game itself I thought was a billion times better than pure pool

 

Had a quick go. Took ages to load and potted 2 balls then gave up. Shocking port from the pc version!

 

AI is very unforgiving if you even make 1 mistake...which I hate. Other than that, I don't mind it but haven't touched multiplayer yet...if I ever.
