    Polk 4Shot microphone issue and the headset adapter


    Hi all

    I got my Polk 4Shot headset yesterday and, unfortunately, I'm getting the mic issues that seem to be widespread. My question is if anyone had heard anything about this being a fault of the headset or the adapter? I've been seeing a lot going around about
    the adapter having problems but its hard to tell where the blame lies. if anyone else is having similar problems with other mics and the adapter I'd love to hear the specifics and maybe narrow down our answers.

    Headset NOT included with Xbox One console ?

    I really like the look of the Polk 4shot for XO. I have TurtleBeachs for 360 so either way I would buy a replacement for any cheapo box-in headset if there was one.

    Same issue seen here on the 4 shot. Game audio is superb but the microphone has no gain. If I take off the headset and hold the mic to my mouth my party can hear me clearly. This suggests the mic is either doing too much noise canceling an/or the mic gain
    is waaay too low.

    Anyways, Polk has made an official statement on this.

    People on the Polk forums have tested and confirmed the mic works great on non-controller use such as cellphone, Xbox Skype, PC, etc. This troubleshooting leaves the problem with the adapter and and not the headset.

    Waiting impatiently for this headset investment to fully realize the design it was intended to do.

    My mic volume is lower than other headsets but overall my friends say it is still good quality. My issue is that whenever I start my xbox my mic will not work with them, I have to plug the controller into the USB and then unplug. I can not figure out why.
    Another thing are that friends with Turtle Beach headsets are having random issues too, hopefully it is all software that can be fixed.

    Are you sure you are using the right chord? One chord (the one with the button) is for phones the other chord plugs into your xbox one adapter
