    PNY flash drive not recognized

I just got two 32 gb PNY flash drives and neither of them are being recognized by my Xbox. I have a 2007 Xbox and all of the updates are installed on the Xbox, and I have a 2 gb Sandisk and an 8 gb flash drive (don't know the brand) that are both working
fine. I have plugged the new flash drives into both of the USB ports on the front (doesn't fit in the one on the back). I plugged the new flash drives into my computer and made sure they were FAT 32, but they still aren't recognized. I've turned the Xbox
on/off, unplugged the power supply, and plugged the flash drives in while it was on, as well as off. Are the flash drives not working because of something with my console, or are PNY flash drives just not compatible?

    :)

External harddrive for media not recognised by Xbox one

My PNY 128gb usb flash drive that was connected to my XBOX One when updated is no longer recognized by my TV's USB Media port either. It is still recognized by all my computers. This is saddening, luckily I have a 16gb Media drive that is still recognized
    by both.

I've tried all types of formatting of the 128gb drive and nothing is working, kinda frustrating really!

  3. Flash Drive Issues

Every time i restart my console, i have to reconfigure my flash drives (2: a PNY 4G, and a PNY 8G)

I have the arcade console and was relying on these for storage, can you help me?

(side note: this started recently when i got a new flash drive.)

Are you sure? I read on one of the support pages that flash drives up to 32 gb can be used. I also read somewhere that even if the storage space is bigger, a partition will be created with 32 gb of space.

  6. Each flash drive can hold up to 32 gigs of data for the console with a limit of 2 flash drives. The drives have to be larger than 1 gig but there is no cap to the drive size just how much the console can use per drive.

As to why your PNY drives are not working, no clue. The Xbox may just not like them in all honesty, it's fickle with it's flash drives and PNY doesn't exactly make the best product.

Ah, that explains it. I didn't know there was a limit on how many flash drives could be plugged in at once. After I took out one of the old ones, the xbox found the new one. Thanks!

Ahh, yeah, it's limited to 2 USB slots... most likely due to transfer speeds.

The original Kinect can actually capture at 480p but is firmware locked on the 360 to only capture at 240p because Microsoft was concerned about transfer rates so it would make sense that the two external drive limitation is for the same reason.
