PNY 32 GB flash drive wont read!

I've had it for maybe 6 months and for some reason my 360 isn't reading it anymore, saying it has "0 kb free". Yet, when I hook it up to my PC, i can see the files (no specific game names) and says it has "544 kb free."

Of course, there are no "free recovery software" because I've spent all day today and yesterday trying them out and in the end, you ALWAYS have to purchase. I can't even afford Xbox gold membership or else I would've bought into those recovery softwares!

Any suggestions? Or am I out of luck?

It sucks because the PC shows my data, but my Xbox 360 won't.

Would buying another 32 GB and transferring data from my old flash drive to the new flash drive work via PC?

PNY flash drive not recognized

I just got two 32 gb PNY flash drives and neither of them are being recognized by my Xbox. I have a 2007 Xbox and all of the updates are installed on the Xbox, and I have a 2 gb Sandisk and an 8 gb flash drive (don't know the brand) that are both working
fine. I have plugged the new flash drives into both of the USB ports on the front (doesn't fit in the one on the back). I plugged the new flash drives into my computer and made sure they were FAT 32, but they still aren't recognized. I've turned the Xbox
on/off, unplugged the power supply, and plugged the flash drives in while it was on, as well as off. Are the flash drives not working because of something with my console, or are PNY flash drives just not compatible?

Just about any flash drive will work (up to 32 gb) on the console. Some people do have issues with PNY though. I would also recommend formatting the drive on the PC before using it on the console to prevent accidental loss if information.

had something similar happen to me, unfortunately no matter what I tried the thumb drive had become corrupted and all the info on it was gone.

like you mentioned it is possible to look at the content on a pc and it wont look like list of files or saves but I think they are volumes or very large files that represent the size of the Xbox USB drive, these are the ones you would need to copy.

-there will be a hidden folder xbox360, in windows explore go to options, view, then select show hidden files

( please note not sure that this would work)

 

to add there will be a list of files in the folder called Data0000 to a certain number these about 1gb each you would need to copy them all. and it would probable best to configure the new drive to the same size as the previous one.
