    Please provide the below information so that there is a better understanding of your network.

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

    How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?:

    Wired or Wireless (for each console):

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown:

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?:

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

    Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider):

    First thing please try resetting all of your network equipment (modem/router). Unplug them for 30 seconds and then plug them back in and let them restart. Also do a hard reset on your console like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds
    or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test for results.

    Since it is it appears to be better after a certain time of day it is pointing toward an ISP issue. However, you will want to rule out anything on your end because your ISP is not going to admit that they have anything wrong.

    Just to clarify, the WAN IP address, was this the IP address off your TP-link's WAN interface/port?

    If you haven't already, visit the TP website and make sure your TP router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware. Note if there is also a hardware revision number corresponding with the firmware version.

    Turn off the firewall on your router..

    Let us know how that goes and we'll go from there.

    2 i have a while ago but id didnt change anything

    3 what could happen, i do t think my parents would let me do that

    4 i have heard that my modem, a genexis hybrid has routing capabilities. Is that bad? If so. Can i disable thise somehow?.

    It's impossible to (at this point) classify which type of SPI is running on your router, because SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) is merely a technique used in firewalls. I'm not going to get into much detail to the subject to SPIs, but in comparison to NAT,
    SPI and NAT has some similarities of security. Where NAT will not respond to unsolicited inbound connections.

    address that you see on "What is my IP", then your address isn't NATd twice. It is more likely that your Genexis neworking device is a fiber switch, with four ports, where each and everyone being dedicated for different
    type of services such as Phone/TV/Internet. All these services belongs to a different VLAN at layer 2.

    A fiber switch is a layer two device. Meaning that it is uncapable of making any decisions based on routing and address translation (NAT).

    May I ask, when you connected your Xbox One directly to your Genexis (bypassed your TP-Link), did you use the same LAN port on your Gexesis where you normaly would connect your TP-Link router to? Or did you use a different LAN port on your Genexis?

    When you have your Xbox One wired into your TP-Link, and do what you normaly would do on your console (e.g play a game), could you then at the same time, on your computer (preferable wired into your TP-Link), run the ping command and let us know if you can
    detect any unusual behaviour according to these pings as they start to populate the command prompt.

    Run the following command, using the command prompt (cmd) on your Windows machine:

    ping 8.8.8.8 -t

    This will ping one of googles open DNS. The "-t" will ping continues until you stop it manually by using 'CTRL-C'

    Let us know how that goes.

    Plz help me. Lag for 2 years now!!!

    so i did some research and i found out that my modem is a genexis hybrid and it seems te be a modem and not a router(not sure there but on multiple sites it didnt mention anything about routers) an most intresting, you cant login to this modem. its not accesable.
    there is a guide somewere, ifollowed that but it didnt work and on multiple forums it stated that it cant be accesed. so im basicly srewed. what do you think, are there any other options to check how i can fix this or should i
    just buy a better router(since(ONCE AGAIN) wired to both my routers= lag, wired to modem is not)

    Note: i had a tplink router and a sitecom. both gave me lag but the lag was different and one was worse then the other (wich makes me believe that a better router wil be laggles( correct me if im wronh)

    note no.2: btw before the genexis hybrid i had a packetfront modem, but on both modems it had thesame lag.

    Yeah wired or wireless, the lag was thesame. And i used 2 different wires. So we can conclude that its a router problem. Isnt there a way to connect 2 things to a modem? Because the modem has 4 ports..
