    Plusnet + Destiny = I'm so angry grrrrrrrrr


    Hi All

    Ive had my copy of Destiny since launch but havent had time to really play it until the other night,anyhoo i get a warning saying i have a strict Nat but didnt think anything of it.

    Well how wrong was i,game had trouble connecting and then would constantly crash and kick me out,i tell you i was an frustrated as hell so I looked the error message and it basically comes down to this strict Nat so I Google how to open the ports and sort
    it out.

    Once again how wrong was I,i followed various tutorials and nothing worked, phoned Plusnet and told they couldn't help as this is outside of their service, followed more tutorials and nothing so I phoned Plusnet again and again and no help at all, after
    days and nights of trying I'm at my wits end as nothing seems to work in getting these ports opened.

    Ive lost count on phone calls and tutorials and video tutorials I've tried so can anyone advise a good fibre able router that I can get that wont break the bank and that is easy to open these *** ports on as I'm stuck.

    Plusnet performance

    im moving to a new house and thinking of going to plusnet however unsure how they perform with xbox live games.

    anyone with plusnet and have any opinions / thoughts ??

    Sorry I'm not much use when it comes to things like this !! I suppose you've tried just unplugging your router and leaving it off for a minute? Also I really think plusnet should be doing more to help and my last bitvof advice is maybe try phoning msoft
    on 0800 587 1102 free from a landline and see if they can help?

    On a side note I'm with virgin and I don't have any probs with them!!

    Thanks for the reply,i have tried resetting etc,im pretty sure Microsoft will just give me the same advice as PlusNet,i feel the only option I have is to purchase another router which is a bit annoying but I don't really see any other choice Plusnet + Destiny = I'm so angry grrrrrrrrr :(

    Usually msoft have been really helpful when I've called or you could try support chat so you don't need to call them worth a try before you have to fork out on a new router.

  11. Plusnet are too busy drawing big dogs on hillsides Plusnet + Destiny = I'm so angry grrrrrrrrr :)

    Virgin here too, and they even have an on-line support page that instructs you on how to set up your router for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

    Thanks for all your replies,i tried everything I could find on porforwarding.com and pretty much every guide and fix was worthless, nothing at all worked, the only way I've managed to sort this is to DMZ the xbox1.

    Have you tried opening the ports specific to bungie? I can remember when I was with bt the crappy "home hub" automatically opened the ports for xbox live but not for bungie and halo resulting in my mat rating on halo reach being closed.

    Plusnet are too busy drawing big dogs on hillsides :)

    Virgin here too, and they even have an on-line support page that instructs you on how to set up your router for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
