Plug and play does not charge correctly

i am already on my second controller because the left analog was drifting up. something that has never happened to me in all my years of gaming.

now the plug and play does not charge correctly. i plug it in and it charges from low battery status in less than an hour. this is wrong. when i unplug it, of course, it drains quickly. i have barely had this for a year and already things are breaking.

i am very disappointed in the poor craftsmanship of your products so far. i guess i shouldn't be surprised from a company with a 33% failure rate for xbox 360. silly me.

Honestly, it sounds like it's time for a new cord. How long have you had it?

My plug-n-play charger cord is not working correctly.

My charger cord it does this every few days. It will charge for a bit then stop. It will charge when it wants to. Yesterday morning it started charging for a few moments then it stopped and hasn't started since. I know my batterie is fine because I charged
it at my friends house. And I know that my USB ports on my Xbox work fine because I've been charging my iPod with them. So I know it's my charger cord but I'm not sure whats wrong with it.

MS batteries have always sucked, I had the play and charge kit on the 360 and the batteries wouldt hold a charge after about a year also. I abandoned all that over priced nonsense and just use normal rechargeable AAs.

Have you tried the battery with a different controller as well? Either your battery is defected (no longer in working order) or it could possibly be the usb or controller. Make sure you have the controller updated as well.

Let us know if any updates or if your issue has change/no change.

Hey Cichlid,

Your controller should light up when its charging. If I read your post correctly, One out of the four is not lighting up when you plug it in correctly right? May want to check that the battery is inserted correctly in the the one that doesn't light up.

how does the wall adapter work? You plug a play and charge kit into the wall?

Just to clarify, does this behavior happen with both controllers? Or just the primary one? Does it happen with the Play and Charge cable plugged in?
