Plug and play charge kit not working....

Ok I'll try and keep it simple as possible basically my old P&P kit wasn't holding a charge anymore the power would drop out randomly so naturally I got a brand new one off the store front, I tried that one this time the USB cable the orange light doesn't
come on although it says the controller is plugged in but same thing only this time I get a warning the battery is low; so I thought its the controller bought a new one still same problem no charge light no on screen charging indicator although it says plugged
in and it works as soon as I take the lead out low battery notification.

I'll be honest am at the end of my rope been on to customer support I did a hard reset I've tried the other USB ports my external SSD and astros which is powered by the USB work but no charging on my controller, I have an Xbox one X has anyone else suffered
from this problem as its very frustrating I've tried everything am using both a new P&P kit and controller but still no charging even though the USB port works?

I actually had a similar issue. I bought a new controller and play and charge kit for it. When I plugged everything in, I would have a similar issue where the light would not come on and battery would not charge. I tried several USB ports, my other Xbox
and still had charging issues as well as disconnections. I took this to mean the battery contacts were not making appropriate contact. After multiple attempts of taking out and putting back in the battery pack, I was able to get it to work.

I would keep at it. If you're getting too frustrated, remember you can always use batteries.

Duuuude thanks for that thought I never thought of trying it just been fiddling about and boom its the battery not connecting inside now its charging thanks

That's a good point cause it does flash the light I'll check the connection and try to see if there is issue there cause it plugs in and has power so that would make sense

Can you try a diffrent cable to chack want could be making the problem happen ?

Yup tried every port my external SSD and Astro headset use the back ports tried swapping them around still no charge light or charge its very puzzling and annoying to say the least lol

Try cleaning the battery contacts with a dry cloth, NO water.
