Pls add ability to edit clips with out Kinect

When microsoft sold the Kinect free Xbox one, I was happy because i thought we would get the ability to edit clips with out the Kinect yet im still waiting, i have the Kinect but it doesn't intrest me its never been out of the box

Also when you double tap guide to do a quick record why can't it give more options X for normal 30 sec clip Y for 60 sec clip, Other wise you get clips that missed half of what you wanted to record

If anybody has any clips, or gameplay that they want captured onto video, add me on xbox live. of course. If you want I can also edit videos to your liking. Add music, edit clips, etc. So if you're looking to get your videos anywhere and don't

Use Upload Studio without Kinect

Is there any way to edit my uploaded clips without having Kinect plugged in?

If you can't, then count this is a suggestion to edit clips without Kinect as I can see the menu's which are accessable when I get the Kinect message telling me to plug in my Kinect. I don't see why XBL should have this barrier, just because where my XB1
is, I am unable to setup my Kinect. It's stupid imo.

 

because Y is for Screenshots.

tip: take it out of the box and use it that way you dont even have ti interupt your game to record that 30 second clip.

 

You don't need a kinect to edit clips.

I'm also a bit confused. I rarely use my Kinect other than to say record that or take screenshot. When it comes to editing a clip I've never had to use it. However OP the best place to give feedback and ideas to Xbox is on the
Feedback site.

 

@OP I think you need to research how to get the most out of your Xbox One, because at the moment it sound like you're not using it properly at all! You don't need the kinect to make and edit gameplay clips.

The double tap and 'X' will indeed record just the last 30 seconds, but if you double tap and open the 'game DVR' app you will be able to save up to 5 minutes of gameplay. You wont miss a thing!

Here's a tip: If you're playing a game that you think you will want to record gameplay from, open the 'game DVR' app right after loading the game. It will be running in the background while you play and when you want to save some footage the app will be
ready and waiting when you 'double tap'.

 

Why not plug your Kinect in and use it?

 

^ because it's cool to hate kinect.

 

I wanted to hate it, though came around to thinking it's a vital component to the X1. Guess my chance to be cool has passed. Lol.

I hated Kinect before it was cool....

I've actually decided to make more of an effort to use upload studio, recording and captures. So far I've only taken two screenshots and resisted the urge to just go crazy and capture everything, haha.

 

Obviously I'm the coolest person here because I totally hate Kinect... unless I'm saying "Xbox take a screenshot!".
