Plex - Sort by Folder

This question has been posted to the Plex forums and left unanswered since November, so I'm posting here as well. The interface for the Plex app on Xbox One is attractive, but it's missing a critical feature: sorting/arranging by Folder. This feature is
found in other Plex apps, for example on Roku, but not on the Xbox One. It makes browsing large libraries very clunky and slow. Is adding this feature on Microsoft or Plex's radar?

Anyone else not like the new update?

I'm ok with it, I like that One guide loads my favorite channels nearly instantly. As soon as they fix Plex streaming with 1080P MKV files I'll be fine with it. Last nights update sped thing up a bit.

With the Plex 1080p mkv videos, I had to move those videos into the home videos section on Plex. It's where you are making a new folder and it asks you if you are making a movie, TV show, etc folder. Choose home videos. They won't be as organized as the other folders, but you can still play them. I think it might be the Plex app and nothing to do with MS

Plex app for XB1 launching tomorrow 10/7; 360 will follow shortly

it has no folder options juts like the windows 8.1 version,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ill stick to plex on roku

The only problem is that some of these songs will never be found on any database but I can figure something out. I'm already doing what you said on you reply, I didn't know about that kind of program to fill the metadata and stuff. Thank you very much (really,
I haver never thought about that before).

Hi extaiszi,

the Xbox classify other metadata than your PC. You need to fill out the metadata exactly. You can also use a program for that, who use databases of the internet to fill out automatic. Use a search engine and type "sync music metadata internet" or similar.

Plex server on PC or Mac + unsupported AppStore + dnla media player on Xbox one = sorted!

I'm also having this exact same problem with both PLEX and TVersity media servers. I did find that moving some of my folders out of my movie folder did help so I was able to access those files(i.e. a comic movie folder, kids folder, etc). I removed the
folder and renamed it. Neither worked. I'm still able to access my movies on my Roku players it's only affecting my Xbox One and 360. Any help guys?
