    Plex server


    Hello,

    I am running a Qnap NAS running the latest version on Plex. I downloaded the Plex app on my Xbox one and keep getting the error "cant find server" when I try to connect. Not much info on this error from Plex except to contact Microsoft about an issue Xbox
    one has with the server version on Plex running on my Qnap? Is there any information in addition to this?

    Plex app connection problem

    Hi,

    I have a problem with the new Plex app.

    Plex server is running on LAN in the same subnet than the xbox360.

    I registered the Plex app with PIN in plex.tv website so everything should be good but when starting the Plex app again is says that the server cannot be contacted although the server appears online in the plex.tv website.

    Plex DLNA service can be reached from xbox

    On the other hand I can connect with other devices in my network to the plex server. So it seems really a problem with the xbox360 Plex app.

    Anyone has the same problem ? Any ideas to fix ?

    How do I access files from my Mac desktop in the Media Player app?

    A Media Server needs to be installed and configured on the Mac. I use Plex Media Server. Do a google search for Plex Media.

    i have adapted, i have Plex server streaming to a Chromecast that is currently plugged into my Xbox, and use the Plex app to navigate and control the media, so much better than using the 360. can't wait until a Plex app is released for the X1.

    Hi,

    The big one I've seen is Plex and there is a Plex app on the Xbox Store. I'm not well versed in these things, but there are quite a few video tutorials on YouTube about Plex and Xbox One.

    I'm pretty sure you'll need something to work as a 'Media server' to put your videos on to share with your console. As I understand it, Plex can transcode MKV videos.
