Plex App Download Failure

I've been trying to download and install the Plex app from my Xbox one for about 2 weeks. I've got the media server set up on my PC. When I try to install on my Xbox One, from the Xbox Live App Store, it says that Plex is free, and I hit Download, and
then Confirm, and it keeps giving me the error:

Something went wrong.

Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate.

Unfortunately, no code is displayed. The only option is to close the popup. I've tried installing several times. Same error. Restarted my console, reset router, etc. It just won't let me download...

Any help would be appreciated.

Plex and X1 Streaming?

@Gypsy As soon as Plex was announced for Xbox One I looked into it and subscribed. I can help you out as best as I can but for one you do need to pay the monthly/yearly/lifetime subscription fee (whatever you choose). Then when you download the Plex App
for windows be sure to do so from the 'Plex Pass Downloads' tab

 

Plex app connection problem

Hi,

I have a problem with the new Plex app.

Plex server is running on LAN in the same subnet than the xbox360.

I registered the Plex app with PIN in plex.tv website so everything should be good but when starting the Plex app again is says that the server cannot be contacted although the server appears online in the plex.tv website.

Plex DLNA service can be reached from xbox

On the other hand I can connect with other devices in my network to the plex server. So it seems really a problem with the xbox360 Plex app.

Anyone has the same problem ? Any ideas to fix ?

Hey there PrasAmin,

Let's have you
Remove your Profile from the console. Then proceed to fully
Power Cycle, after that go ahead and re add your profile and see if it allows you to download the Plex app again.

Mister Mascot. Thank you so much for your response. I tried that but it didn't work.

But, this morning, when I started my Xbone, it wanted to install an update. I let it do that, and once it finished, my Xbone would not boot up, and kept giving me errors. Fun, really fun stuff. Anyway, I decided to do a full factory reset, and start from
scratch.

Lo and behold, the anniversary update took, and the first thing I tried to do was to install Plex, and it went without a hitch. Now, I'm I'm trying to figure out Cortana!

And impatiently awaiting VLC to release it's app!
