Discus and support Plex and X1 Streaming? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I cannot set up plex to work on my X1 for nothing. it just says cannot find server please make sure you've installed plex media servers. which I did on...     Plex and X1 Streaming?


    I cannot set up plex to work on my X1 for nothing. it just says cannot find server please make sure you've installed plex media servers. which I did on 2 different computers a Windows 7 and 8 computer and still the same thing pops up.. The computers can
    find each others libraries but my X1 can't.

    Can someone give me like a step by step guide? do I need to have my X1 hooked up wirelessly for it to stream cause I have it connected to a Ethernet cord

    It's been eight months. I would like my "all in one" to stream from network already.

    i have adapted, i have Plex server streaming to a Chromecast that is currently plugged into my Xbox, and use the Plex app to navigate and control the media, so much better than using the 360. can't wait until a Plex app is released for the X1.

    Have you Purchased a PLex Pass, because currently you need to pay for atleast a monthly sub for this to work on your Xboxone.

    glad I got a western digital my cloud network attached storage...no monthly sub to view 2 TB worth of movies/sitcoms/music...shows right up on the new media app...FINALLY!

    Sounds good @Below it will be free for plex soon and by not paying you just lose the Plex supplied thumbnails and category sorting and title info as cast and plot added.

    I was looking at those yesterday seemed like good value here also. I just don't have enough video media to make either worthwhile just yet. got planty of music but im a Sonos guy so have no problem moving music around the house.

    By the way Your Drivatar was really grinding my gears in a few FH2 Championships

    I have been using a WD live hub for years. Great system. Plays any type of video codec you throw at it. Organizes well, has tiles/background art, movie summary, actor/director listing; all for every movie. Most of my files are .iso, so xbox media player
    doesn't recognize them.

    @Gypsy As soon as Plex was announced for Xbox One I looked into it and subscribed. I can help you out as best as I can but for one you do need to pay the monthly/yearly/lifetime subscription fee (whatever you choose). Then when you download the Plex App
    for windows be sure to do so from the 'Plex Pass Downloads' tab

    I have been using a WD live hub for years. Great system. Plays any type of video codec you throw at it. Organizes well, has tiles/background art, movie summary, actor/director listing; all for every movie. Most of my files are .iso, so xbox media player
    doesn't recognize them.
