PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME FIX THIS (Mic isn't working on Xbox)

I had this problem for a whole month, trying to look up fixes but I couldn't find any. So what happened is that randomly when I was playing with my friends my chat cut out. I don't know why as I didn't do anything. I really want this fixed as I can't talk
to my friends anymore.

These are the things I tried to fix this issue, all of these fixes did not work.

• I tried un-muting my mic in every way possible (Audio, Pressing Y on my icon in party chat)
• I tried opening my NAT
• I tried switching my controllers and seeing if I can talk
• I tried using different mics
• I tried using different accounts
• I tried removing my account and adding it back
• I tried using game chat
• I hard reset my Xbox
• I tried updating my Xbox controller with and without the mic plugged
• I tried checking if my privacy and online safety settings were all in order.

I also tried to see if my mic works on Skype, and yes it does work on Skype. My party chat also picks up my voice when I use my kinect mic. This is something wrong with the Xbox itself. Also, when I connect my mic I get a little ring around my icon that
says that my mic is picking up noise. This only happens for a bit then goes away as if it was a little static.

Please someone help me I am sick and tired of it!

ISSUES WITH MY MIC AFTER COMMUNICATION BAN LIFTED

Please can someone help. My communication ban was lifted on 31/10/2015. Since then my MIC isn't working. I can hear in the party / game chat, can send messages but can't be heard by anyone. I've reset / restarted. Checked my MIC / it's in full working
order. Can a member of enforcement please check this for me? Many thanks

My xbox mic or party system isn't working. when i join a party no one can hear me but i can hear everyone else. please help

 

Try contacting xbox support. Those all good options that you tryed.

 

Can you check if the issue is "locally" or a networking issue by doing the following:

Open the message tab on your console and compose a new message. Since you don't actually send the message it doesn't matter who you choose as recipient.

Instead of typing the message, record a voice message.

Are you able to listen to your recorded voice message without problems? Then you need to troubleshoot your (and your friends) network settings and most importantly that everyone (not just you) in your party has an open NAT.

If your voice message isn't recorded, then this is a local issue. Check if the cable of the headset is having a loose contact, or if the wires are broken. Try again to use the microphone, and wiggle the cable around, to see if the microphone stops working.

 

If you do not have the original Xbox tag. There may be a compatibility issue. Check the package for accessories if the device is compatible with the Xbox console.

It looks like the headset and mic is being recognized based on your troubleshooting and the indicators you pointed out but the issue is related to audio.

So do you hear the game audio or Is this strictly related to chat? Can you hear your friends? Or is it that you cannot hear them and they cannot hear you?

Sorry to hear about this problem.

Totally does sound pretty irritating.

If I were you I would follow the steps on our support site for that exact issue here on

Xbox One Chat Headset troubleshooting for a solution.

If that doesn't work though, another good thing to try is what we call a soft reset (a reset of the console to factory settings but without uninstalling your games and apps.)

I know that listed that you did reset your console but did you do that by going into Settings and selecting
Reset the console and keep my games and apps? If not, then I would try that following the steps here on

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One.

Before you do try that though, make sure you know all the sign-in information for any/all accounts on your console and that you have easy internet access.

Give those pages and troubleshooting steps a try and let me know how that helps with resolution of the issue.

We have a bigger problem on my hands now. I tried doing a factory reset by also saving games and apps. But now my xbox live gold is cancelled, I also signed into all my accounts that had xbox live. Nothing works online now, this is
[Mod Removed – Profanity]. and this better get resolved now.

I would have you check the subscription dates from when it started and when it would expire. As the Factory reset doesn't affect anything in your account it only resets the Xbox to factory defaults and it only makes you sign back in to your account.
