Please reconnect your controller

Hey guys I have recently been having some problems with my new xbox 360. Basically my controller kept shutting off, so after a few frustrating experiences I sent it back for a replacement. Then to my dismay, the new controller I received did exactly the
same. So I decided to test it out with a borrowed controller, which also did the same. I'm kind of guessing it's the 360 at this point but if it is something to do with the receiver in the 360 would it really cause the controller to shut off? Wouldn't it just
disconnect but stay on? I'd at least like to understand what exactly the issue is and possibly save myself the cash and hassle of posting everything back to the (online) retailer for a replacement. Things that seem to make controller shut off more frequent:
-Vibration enabled -Playing online Help appreciated Ace

3 weeks ago, I started receiving message that my wireless controller got disconnected and that I must reconnect it while playing Star Wars Battlefront II. New battery are used. I even re-sync the controller and keep getting the message. It's getting quite
annoying while playing an online game........ don't know what to do...

Can you please try following the
Xbox One controller troubleshooting guide to see if this helps with resolving the problem you are experiencing. Can you please reply to this thread to let us know how you got on?

try turning off the vibration and if that still doesn't work try doing what did and buy a charge and play kit for the 360 controller.

Would you also be able to try a different battery pack to see if that fixes the issue. If not, then follow the instructions by chRuNcHy, or buy a new controller.

Hi Knot,

Thanks for keeping us updated. Make sure the console is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Plugging into an ext. cord or surge protector can cause a lot of different issues if the console is not getting the power it needs.

Thank you. It is connected directly to the wall outlet and is still experiencing the malfunction.

Hey had a similar problem. Found out it was wireless interference. My daughter has an xbox upstairs in her room when its on it can screw with my controller connection. Figured this out after trying everthing else. Different devices could cause this same
issue. Hope this helped.
