    PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU STILL CAN'T CHANGE MINECRAFT MULTIPLAYER SETTINGS! EVERYONE TELLS...


    HERE'S THE ANSWER....I spent days in a loop being sent back and forth and always ending up at the same privacy and online settings stage. The problem is, as a few users have pointed out, is that the Microsoft account is registered as a child's age.
    Change the MSoft account age to the parent's age and then you can change to multiplayer settings! It just worked for me after three days of wrestling with this. Microsoft and Minecraft should state this very clearly.

    Click onto your Microsoft account page (by clicking on your name) and change your DOB. Mine was set to the child's age so it wouldn't of course let me change privacy settings. Then follow the steps above by logging into Microsoft privacy and online settings, then Xbox settings and changing the settings for multiplayer there...

    How do I enable Minecraft Multiplayer?

    Hi Francia,

    I did set those settings for my son's profile, but when he goes into Minecraft, it still tell's him that he can't play multiplayer because of his account settings.

    Any ideas?

    I can't play the games online

    This doesn't help with my situation. Nothing I can do to change my settings so I can play with my friends on Minecraft which should be a game that EVERYONE should have multiplayer compatibility but for some reason, I can't do it. The game says I need realm
    which is fine, but apparently my settings are messed up and I can't change it. I'm 17 fresh out of high school and a man can't play Minecraft with the boys when my birthday almost coming up. My account shouldn't be labeled as "child" When I'm a grown person
    now.

    To change your privacy settings on Xbox.com, go to My Account at the top-right of this page > Select Privacy Settings on the last box on the right > change the Voice and Text setting. Only if its in everyone may you talk to everyone and they won't be muted.
    I can't tell you what to select but if its in everyone then you may talk to anyone without mute. Proceed at your own discretion.

    Minecraft disabled multiplayer and says to enable it I have to change it in my Microsoft settings. My question is, where are those settings?

    I reset the setting in the Xbox family app along with re opening Minecraft but it’s still not allowing multiplayer. Will it take more time to refresh to have the system reflect the setting changes made?
