Please Read/Help Xbox One Issues

First of all, thank you fellow gamers/xbox admins for taking the time to read and try to assist me. I've been having some funky problems with my xbox since day one.

Here is a list of the issues I've had/am having. I bought my Xbox One console on day one (but is not the Day One Edition)

I've updated everything, console/controllers/etc.

1. Controller disconnects randomly

2. Controller will go haywire randomly (I will be playing call of duty and it just won't respond. It will look at the ground and my character will be going around in circles until I hard reset the console)

3. The Kinect that came with the console had a screw floating around inside the product out of box. (Well, it still has it floating around but it seems to be working ok for now??)

4. Some games I have to insert, eject, reinsert several times until it finally decides to recognize the disc

5. I have a 1TB external hard drive I saved all of my games to just in case something happens. Thank god because just today I was playing COD Advanced Warfare and it froze on me, then a little notification popped up and said "external hard drive ready for
use" (which it had been for a few weeks now) and it erased everything on the Xbox One Hard Drive (including 3 other profiles I had saved to the internal hard drive)

6. I bought the Xbox Branded headphones (magnetic hideaway microphone $50-$80, well even the one's that came with the console had this same problem) Sometimes while playing COD:AW when I disconnect the mic, the controller will stop working and I have to
hard reset the console. People won't hear me, I won't hear them, controller won't respond. I love my Xbox and I've owned both consoles (sold my ps4 just because I didn't use it much), never will I second guess my investment..... but did I get a model in a
crappy batch?

I really don't want to send my unit in to get it fixed (which I have until middle of February to do so) just because I don't want to wait a whole month to get back to gaming. I just got layed off of work, I own 13 games that I love to play when it does work
fine, but is this going to be a big risk down the road if I don't get it fixed? Is their anyone else having any of these issues.

Xbox one issues

Hi, I have been having lots a problems with my Xbox one recently. It started with my controller not connecting and then it wouldn't connect to the Internet. After that it won't read my hard drive any more. As of right now my controller won't connect(sometimes
it will) I can't connect to Xbox live and the Xbox won't read my hard drive. Please help I just lost 300$ worth of games. Thanks.

Sorry you're having issues trying to buy something in the Xbox store. What is the exact error message you get? Have you tried multiple payment methods? See the link below for some issues / fixes with the Xbox Store.

oh, also of note: I was part of the preview program, and opted out since I heard a lot of people were having certain bugs with their consoles while in that program.

Well we have a bunch of information on our support site on the page entitled
How to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox One that can I think should help you out with the issue.

It could potentially be a software glitch as well, and if it continues I would do this thing we call a soft reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. May I ask if you know if your console is still under warranty?

Device service

If your discs continue to not eject, you can manually eject the discs. I will provide you with a link to xbox support, which will help with instructions on how to do this. I do believe it has a video as well.

But please do check the warranty with the link as you will be able to lodge a repair request.

Has this been an ongoing problem or just started happening recently?

Hi, the error messages you received were due to an issue with your console reading the discs. You can find out how to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox One here.
