Please Read -Before Playing Anywhere Game-Forza Horizon 4 or others

Before you lose your Game Save which you spend hours on Please Read this. Starting a Game on another platform. In this scenario its Forza Horizon 4. Played on Xbox One now running the game on PC. By default, the game is saved to the cloud.

1: Backup your Save Game. (you should do this regardless for all your games)

2: After installing game and running the game for the first time it will try to sync your data-DO NOT CANCEL otherwise you risk corrupting the save data on the cloud.
If everything went well you should have your previous save game loaded and you are good to go otherwise see steps 3-4

3.If you cancel the sync for some reason or don't have internet it will create a new local save. It will be fresh start of the game or the game will start from the beginning.

4. Once you have internet or next time when you load the game after canceling the sync it will give you an option of loading the local save data or the cloud save. At this point DO NOT PICK LOCAL instead pick from the cloud.
If you pick local, it will use that and then sync the data on the cloud overwriting your previous game which you spend hours on. No warning is given that it will override your cloud save but it will happen.

must be just forza 4 i get a warning about overwriting with forza 3 and countless other games, the only other one game i dont get a warning about overwriting the save for is cuphead.

Simply login into yout PC with the account that you bought the game with or have Game pass actuve, then open the app Microsoft Store and look for the game and install it, in this case Forza 4 (please note Forza Horizon 4 is a play anywhere title, if you
mean Forza Motorsport 4, it was never released for PC).
