It may be worth a shot at deleting any failed update.

Go to settings, system, storage. Highlight the storage device and press LB RB X LB RB X in sequence, select yes on the next screen, the xbox will restart and attempt to update again. You may need to use the disc of Dark Souls 2 to complete the update if
indeed that works at all.

Unfortunately that isn't an option. There is literally nothing that can be done. The Xbox boots up (with or without the hard drive connected, disc in etc), tries to continue the update, then brings up the error code. So it's not possible to do anything,
no settings, nothing. And the Xbox Guide button on the controller doesn't make it do anything either. So I'm not sure if it would even be worth trying the other update files on the USB stick.

Hmm ok, try holding the sync button on the console and then power it on keeping the sync button held.

I spoke to an advisor through chat, and they said to try this update:

support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-info

So hopefully we might have better luck with that one.

Hey my xbox 360 is stuck to a "SYSTEM UPDATE STOPPED" and it says "Cant read the update from disc please re insert the disc to continue the update "

and status code is given as 22FB 397F B800 0F00 C000 0013

what should i do now? Please help

0x803F8001, would you happen to own the game on disc? If you’re playing a disc-based game, insert the game disc into the Xbox console. If the disc is already inserted, see
Troubleshoot problems playing a disc on Xbox One. If you happen to have bought the game digitally, then please make sure that you are signed into
the same profile used for the initial purchase.
