Please Help

Hi guys, looking for a bit of assistance here.

I bought a Nokia mobile phone last year and registered setting up a new Outlook account, as I didn't want to confuse my PC account with my mobile.

Yesterday , having had issues with the phone I did a hard reset, meaning that I had to re-install everything. Unfortunately I can't remember what email address I had, only my gamertag. I contacted XBox support, and they found the gamertag. They said they
could help me to get my email address, but had to get a verification code.

This is where it gets a bit awkward - because the verification code could only be sent to either the email address I used or the phone number registered on the account. Obviously an email to the email address was no good, so it had to go to the phone I designated.
For some reason this could only be sent as a text, and because I used a landline, I can't receive a text message. So therefore I cannot get a verification code, so Microsoft can't give me my email address.

What is a little confusing is that I can (and in the past have) had a call recording sent to my phone with a verification code, so I know that this can be done. But Microsoft are telling me the only option they have is to send a text.

Can anyone please help or advise me on this?

I have just set up my xbox one and the sound doesn't sound right. I have it on a 5.1 dolby system it's really odd on call of duty advanced warfare the centre speaker works during cinematic scenes but has no volume during game play it sounds ok and the gun and voice effects come mainly from the front two speakers but that can't be right????

Has anyone else got call of duty set up on 5.1 dolby system?

i dont have cod..

first i would go into settings and controller and update it.. (idk why) but somewhere along the line an update for headsets had something with dolby 5.1 in it.

i dont have cod so i cant say how my 5.1 sound bar works but the way i recall it is.. the developer sets the standard or output channels.. this is why forza worked next to polk audio to "dial in sound" its not really a microsoft thing as much as cod development.

i would check settings on xb1 to see if it is in dolby 5.1 or stereo
i would also check the settings in game to seewhat they are.

depending on your sound bar check and see i fit has a setting for analog or coax it may also have different modes.. game,movie,stereo,cinamatic each one does alter how sound is projected

 

Are you able to switch your verification phone number to a friends or families phone that can get a text?
