please help

my wireless adapter is working sometimes and sometimes not

sometimes Xbox ask for connect a wireless adapter so i have to turn my network to wired

dose it solve by factory reset?

if it so how i get factory reset to xbox?

also

i have a game
Forza Horizon , i download it , do i lose it if i reset my console ?

I have just set up my xbox one and the sound doesn't sound right. I have it on a 5.1 dolby system it's really odd on call of duty advanced warfare the centre speaker works during cinematic scenes but has no volume during game play it sounds ok and the gun and voice effects come mainly from the front two speakers but that can't be right????

Has anyone else got call of duty set up on 5.1 dolby system?

i dont have cod..

first i would go into settings and controller and update it.. (idk why) but somewhere along the line an update for headsets had something with dolby 5.1 in it.

i dont have cod so i cant say how my 5.1 sound bar works but the way i recall it is.. the developer sets the standard or output channels.. this is why forza worked next to polk audio to "dial in sound" its not really a microsoft thing as much as cod development.

i would check settings on xb1 to see if it is in dolby 5.1 or stereo
i would also check the settings in game to seewhat they are.

depending on your sound bar check and see i fit has a setting for analog or coax it may also have different modes.. game,movie,stereo,cinamatic each one does alter how sound is projected

This could be a symptom of a hardware failure with the internal Wi-Fi. However, please try the following to troubleshoot your console:

1. Turn off your console and unplug it for about 30 seconds.

2. Turn your console back on.

3. Go to the Settings screen, select System and then Network Settings

4. Select your wireless network when displayed

5. Select Configure Network then Additional Settings tab

6. Select Restore to Factory Defaults then confirm when prompted.

7. Turn off your console and then power it back on

8. Attempt to reconnect to your wireless network.

It is not possible - or necessary - to restore the whole console to factory defaults. If the above does not work and your console intermittently does not detect its own internal Wi-Fi then there has been a hardware failure on your machine. In which case you
would need to get it repaired by Microsoft.

As for any downloaded game you have, don't worry. You must remove the hard drive from your console when you ship it for repair. When you receive the replacement machine you re-insert the hard drive and your downloaded game will still work.

Also as an FYI, all of your purchases can be downloaded again any time as long as you still have the account you purchased them with. This is done via your Download history.
