Please help Xbox one friends

Hi why is it when people add me I appear on there friends list, but they don't show in my activity alerts or followers list. The only way to fix this is by blocking them and getting them to re add you. Is anybody having this problem and found a solution

All my friends play pc, I play pc have a vita, and 3ds. I have one lonely friend who likes to play smite but needs a better platform to play it on. So he is going to get an xbox one. But he will have no one else to play with him. I want to help him out and play with him but I see zero benefits for buying an xbox one. I love jrpgs like persona, FF, and dangan ronpa and I haven't been playing many western games lately. So I already have everything I want in gaming but want to help my friend.
So, fanboys and fangirls please convince me or tell me what I should do.

Hey there. How long have you been having this issue? It sounds like it may be an issue with Live, but I would try a hard reset anyway (Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off, unplug for 5 minutes). Also, are you in the preview program?

 

Hi KenH2k4, I notice the issue a few days ago but it could of been going on for weeks. I'm not in the preview program, I've tried multiple hard reset before and none have fixed the issue.

 

Do they show up on your followers list on
account.xbox.com/Followers ?

 

I've just got an activity alert from yourself and you appear in my followers list. Do you mind adding and re adding me again ? And then I will add you to see if appear on your side too

 

Everything looks good. I imagine it was just temporary issues with Live, but if you continue to have trouble with the same people, it may be something with their accounts.

 

New players are now showing up in followers and activity alerts. Previous players who've added me when Xbox live had a problem are not showing up.

I'm having the same issues and can't figure out why! The people who add me don't appear as my followers and I don't get the notifications however I'm showing up on their friend's list. I've tried to sign out and reset the Xbox. I was in the preview program
but removed myself from the program.

 

Try restarting your Xbox in energy save mode If you're using instant on. Shutting down in instant one doesn't actually reset everything and doing a real shut down usually helps me when I have had hang up issues. Also did you or anyone else who uses the
Xbox happen to change notifications? My wife gets aggrivated by notifications when she's watching movies and will occasionally turn off notifications. Maybe just check your settings to make sure that's not the easy fix.

 

Hi @GreatDankX2, try removing your Xbox profile from the console, then hold down the power button for 30sec till the console has shut off. Wait a few minutes before turning it back on and re adding your profile.

 

No, no one else is on my Xbox and @DiseasedBadger, do I completely delete my profile off?
