please help, xbox live d'c problems..

so I never had a problem until recently with xbox live. my internet and router are fine.

but I keep being d'c from xbox live within minutes of signing in unless I join a game. if I join a game or lobby I can play problem free for as long as I like.

but as soon as I am out of a game, such as in the create a class menu for call of duty I will disconnect within minutes..

I have called tech support but they have not help.. anyone please help :,(

Xbox Live problems- PLEASE HELP.

I got my Xbox 360 on the 23rd of February. I had a little trouble connecting as my network didn't show up on the wireless networks available so I had to go to "Specify Unlisted Network" my connection is WPA2. It worked fine after that, no problems. I got
on last weekend and as I was playing black op 2 the connection in game started to go out, and i showed that my connection had gone down to 1 bar. Which only showed up on my Xbox 360, on my ipod, phone, laptop, the connection was fine. It started getting ridiculous,
so I just shut it off for the night. The next day, I went to get on and as soon as I signed on it told me that my connection had failed. I tried and tried literally everything from factory reset on the wireless network to going to my router settings. I've
been to the troubleshoot page on here and literally have done everything. Finally, I just reset my router. and when I reentered my password in it worked.

That was the first time, now it's happened again. I went to get on my xbox for some black ops, and as soon as I logged on it told me my connection had failed. So, I reset my router like I had done last time, but this time, it's not working. It literally
will not work. On the network options, I see my wireless network has full bars, but when I connect to it, it doesn't connect to xbox live. I've literally done everything on the troubleshoot page, so please do not direct me to that page. I'm not very tech savvy
so I have no clue what is going on. Is it my Xbox 360? I have a ps3 as well, and the Internet works absolutely fine on that, and on everything else. Just my Xbox 360 messes up, an anyone please help me? I literally just got this xbox 360 and I can't even enjoy
it properly.

I'm thinking it's my xbox 360, would it help i I got a wireless adaptor? I have an xbox 360 elite 250 Gb hard drive, wireless connection not wired.

The external adapter has been known to solve problems, but may I instead suggest you check the router configuration and see if it uses TKIP encryption? If so, I would suggest changing to AES.

A more detailed list of what you have done would be helpful. Could you also provide this data?

How do you connect your Xbox360 Elite with the WLAN?

In your last sentence you asked about WLAN Adapter, which is normaly not included in the elite bundle as far as I know.

Have you tried to use the wired network? Just to be sure that your xbox is working well in network?

If you have already an adaptor I would assume that it is somehow defect.

Just a question. Is the Xbox a new one or did you buy it from somebody? In the first case I would try to get a new one via warranty. In the latter case trying out another adaptor might be a good try.

You can't play multiplayer without a Gold account. You appear to only have Silver. You need to subscribe to Xbox Live in order to play online.
