Please help to play multiplayer with friend at another house

The co-op experiences for AC Unity and AC Black Flag are a bit different.

For AC Black Flag, there isn't co-op in the single player campaign. Instead, there is a separate 4-player co-op game mode called Wolfpack that is accessible from the main game menu. In this mode your missions involve working together to assassinate a target.

For AC Unity, the co-op experience is a bit more varied. There is co-op in the normal campaign but there are some restrictions. First off you won't able to access the co-op until after memory sequence 2. And then after that co-op is only available in free
roam around the city as well as special co-op missions and heists, so the single player story missions are not included and cannot be accessed while in co-op. There is no restriction however on story progress, so anyone can join your co-op session as long
as they are past sequence 2.

I was introduced to Halo going to a friends house and playing the first Halo and that experience prompted me to get an xbox and Halo as it's first game. I remember the hours spent playing LAN multiplayer at my friend's house setting up multiplayer bouts
on sidewinder.

I'm not. Gears has never done anything for me, not disputing that it's a really good series but it's just never clicked for me. The horror stories I've heard about some of the people who play the multiplayer don't help either.

Yet this still insinuates that a fee will have to be paid if your using another profile. Proof enough

As Lactos292 stated it depends on the game. It also depends on what game mode you're referring to. Multiplayer and Co-op modes will vary from game to game in terms of the numbers of players permitted. Certain games that have multiplayer don't have splitscreen.

But, generally yes, 4 people in two houses can play together on Live.
