please help - need to transfer account

ok, after two hours last trying to do this last night and talking to a xbox person on the live chat I am still at a loss. When I bought the xbox for my little un I used my email and details for the account set up (outlook account etc) however I had a bit
of an issue with security so had to change my outlook password and in doing so inadvertently changed the xbox log in details. My little boy has two consoles - one here and one at his mums and had used the account in both places. I dont want my email and details
used for the account so I need to transfer the account over to another email. This all sounds very straight forward and I have tried in vain to change the details, but when I try I cannot enter the new password for the new email as the space is already populated
with another incorrect password - point 6 below. No matter how many times I try, I can enter the new password - then press next to be taken to the next screen, but the screen has the incorrect password on it. I would like to get this sorted as he cannot use
the console at this mothers at the moment - any advice would be appreciated

Move your Xbox profile to another Microsoft account on Xbox 360

If both the current and target Microsoft accounts meet the conditions outlined above, here’s how to move your Xbox profile and gamertag:

1. Sign in to your profile on your Xbox 360 console.
2. Go to Settings and select Account.

cant do license transfer because my accounts banned

Need help doing transfer license because my account that they want me to sign into is banned untill 12/31/9999 what do i do sense im banned please help!!

 

From my experience here's what I did. Not sure if it will help but here goes....

When I moved house I had to close my broadband account, open a new account, then reassign the old name to the new account. (my broadband supplier is pretty stoneage for this kind of thing)

This meant I didn't have access to my normal e-mail address for a few weeks.

As far as xbox live is concerned, I decided to use another e-mail address that I COULD get to.

To do this I had to:

Add the new address and password to my microsoft account.

Make this address my new primary login

Delete the old e-mail details (optional)

In my case the old log in still works, but I didn't have a security issue.

 

Did the OP manage to sort this problem out? I always wonder when they don't return lol.
