Please help me with game recommendations for my friend who will be getting an Xbox One soon

I have only played 6 Xbox One games (Forza Motorsport 5, Sunset Overdrive, Destiny, Killer Instinct season 2 Ultra Edition, Skylanders Trap Team, and Zombi)

She is looking for games that are splitscreen / couch co-op and she is leaning towards the Halo: Master Chief Collection bundle

I highly recommended the Halo: Master Chief Collection because it has 4 games and it supports split-screen.

I have played all of these Halo games (except for Halo 4 because I only played Spartan Ops for it) and she will enjoy them

She is also a fan of Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition and she is really looking forward to the new content that will be coming out soon

Hey Lei, have they considered Divinity Original Sin Enhanced? It's an rpg with split screen abilities and on special at the moment. I've spent a few hours on it and it's really quite good. Also, I'd recommend Halo mcc over h5 if that's an option, just let
your friend know if this is what they want that they will have one hefty update waiting.

She won't be getting Halo 5 Guardians because of its lack of Splitscreen.

she's only played a little bit of Halo 4 and the Halo MCC is a great choice because she gets to see the story unfold from the beginning

I know you're looking only for games with split screen as an answer, but Rise of the Tomb Raider is a game I highly recommend.

The story, gameplay smoothness and visuals (Snow, Mountains etc) are 2nd to none in my opinion. Me and the wife both played it. I would play until a point and hand the controller over to her and she would play a couple of segments of the story.

ROTTR gets my GOTY vote. It's that good!

Personal note. If I can find it on the dirty dirt cheap. Fallout 4, even though not really my cup of tea, will be my next purchase. Other than that, and maybe Halo MCC. Their isn't many games that tickel my fancy on the X1.

 

Out of interest why is she only wanting split screen games? Especially since she can play with u over live on most of your games, you could always refer a friend on destiny and get some more loot.

In regards to FPS games, she is new to the genre and is still getting used to how they work.

I remember how difficult it was to get used to FPS controls when I first played Halo: Combat Evolved on my Original Xbox console.
