Please help me, xbox will not turn my tv on and off and I ran out of ideas...

ok so let me get this out of the way, this is a day one xbox one and it has been connected to 3 tvs, the first 2 tvs the on/off feature has worked flawlessly fresh out of the box, now back in october I bought a brand new 55' Sony XBR-55x850c television,
when I connected my xbox to it, it will not turn the tv on and off. At the time my tv model wasnt listed, over time it was listed but my xbox refused to select it when I kept hitting ok, instead it took a remote code when I clicked on guide me and when I did
that, it kind of works. What i mean is when I am 2-3 feet away from the tv whether I am standing or sitting, the tv will turn on and off but any further than 3 feet, it wont work at all, now today i went back under devices to enter it manually, clicked on
my tv model and finally my xbox was able to select it, but regardless I am still having problems, I have reset all tv settings for the xbox, did a hard reset, everything I can think of but my tv refuses to turn on and off unless I am 2-3 feet away from it,
does anyone ahve any idea what the heck this is???

TV not turning off with Xbox One, but it changes the input.

hi guys

I've had my xbox one for 2 weeks and Cant figure this out. I have a sharp aquos TV and I have turned it on in the setting to turn off my tv with the Xbox. But instead of turning the TV off its switches from input 1 to input COMP/AV.

any ideas.

also TV turns on fine when saying Xbox on.

Xbox One will not power off Sony XBR-65X900A / remove device

Everything worked great with my Vizio. I have replaced the Vizio with the XBR, re-ran the setup for a new TV and it picked up all the codes and everything worked fine.

When all is off, and I say Xbox On, everything is powered on and fine.

When I say Xbox turn off, it turns off everything except the TV. I need to use the TV remote to turn off the TV. Any ideas?

Also, how do you delete an audio device? I put in my Bose, but now with the Sony, I don't need it and want to remove it. I can't see anything in setup to remove a device.

Most ir remotes have to have line of sight in order to control the device. The kinect seems to blast ir everywhere and let it bounce around off walls until it gets where it needs to be. I'm guessing you block that when you move around. The ir receiver
on your new TV may be partially obscured by something.

So, I found a solution that worked for me. I had hdmi control for everything to turn off and turn on. I was getting the double power off. It turns out that it was my tv that was sending the extra off. Essentially, xbox told the receiver to turn off,
and then told the tv to turn off. then the tv (a Samsung) told the receiver to turn off again. so I told the tv to quit controlling things and it's worked since.

It did not help me, It still keeps turning off the TV when i rurning off my xbox .

I have the ViP 222k, and still haven't gotten it to work. I have a Samsung LN40A550P3FXA television. My TV was turning on and off, but twice now the off has stopped working. Under "Power Options" it is set to turn off each piece of equipment (TV, Sound
Bar, STB). Now, not only will the X1 not turn off (or even control) my STB, it also won't turn off my TV. Can anyone from Microsoft please help me out. This has been almost a week now with no solutions. If there are issues with my Kinect (which I doubt
because all the voice commands work controlling the X1 features) please say so. If there are issues with the TV I have or STB I would like to know if there is a patch coming out or if the equipment just won't work with each other. I want to make sure I don't
have a faulty X1. Thanks.

Ok. I need a sleep timer! My TV turns off every night at 2am. But when I wake up, I am unable to say "Xbox On" because the console is already on, but the TV is off. So I still have to use my TV remote control to turn on the TV. I taught my whole family
how to turn on the xbox system with just voice. But even this doesn't work now (at least in the morning). It was funny. I kept hearing everyone yell "xbox on!" "xbox turn on!" "xbox watch TV". It was pretty annoying and loud. Then I finally turned around
and said, "get the tv remote please"

Now I'm thinking. Is there a snooze button on the xbox one with Xbox Music? This would essentially turn of the console after inactivity, then my TV and my Receiver will turn off too. This could work! I'll try it out tonight.
