hello I purchased a xbox 360 game on my xbox one and it told me I had to reinstall my account to play it so I deleted it and tried to sign back in but it wont let me I called support yesterday and tried to go throw the security questions to reset my password
but I bought my account from a friend of mine so all the questions are things I don't kno like his moms phone number and ****. someone please help me its my **** birthday and im pissed cause I cant play the game I just bought and cant call support cause my
cellphone provider is down I just want my account that I spent over 200$ on plz Microsoft

Come on wrong forum, demand gold code from microsoft, ask for help, I think you got these mixed up. contact microsoft support, if you entered a valid code last night and it just stopped working today I'm sure a support staff member can tell you what happened,
just try being a little more courteous to them if you want a favorable result.

There are a couple issues going on here, all of which cannot be handled in the forums.

If you can't answer the security questions, there is no way to prove you are the account owner.

If you purchased your account from your friend you would need the account's creator to reset the password.

Keep in mind, it's against the
code of conduct/terms of use to sell accounts.

"Don’t engage in fraud or unauthorized transactions. For example, don’t:

• Lend, transfer, sell, or otherwise provide third parties access to your accounts or Gamertags"

 

so me spending over 200$ of my own money on games is not proof I own the account? I can provide the credit card info used to purchase abunch of games on the account one of which was yesterday when I had to delete the account just to play it and now this
is happening my friend dosent know his security questions so I cant answer those but I don't see how me spending so much money on the account dosent show I own it I simply want my account back and I cant call customer support cause my service provider is down
rate now cant answer any of my other accounts security codes to get on online customer support cause I cant have them sent to my phone this is **** ridiculous ive owned the account for over a year now been using the same credit card for over a year now and
that's not proof I own it like this is ridiculous

 

so id appreciate my account back so I can play the game I just wasted my money on or my money back cause I didn't spend 200$ on games just to not be able to play them

 

this **** up I waited 3 days just to buy a 20$ **** game for my birthday and now I can't even play it let alone sign in so guess I'm staring at a **** wall for my birthday thanks Microsoft

 

Buying/sellling accounts is a violation of the code of conduct/terms of service. Account ownership cannot be transferred between people. Just because you paid your friend, doesn't mean you actually own the account. Your friend is still the owner of the account,
not you.

 

Smwutches is correct. You are not allowed to buy or sell accounts. The account was never yours to begin with and will never be yours. It doesnt matter if you paid your friend for the account. It was never yours to buy in the first place and was never your
friends to sell

 

ok well give me my **** money back then cause I didn't spent over 200$ to have it stolen from me **** scum all the money I spent on this company just to have it stolen from me pathetic

 

all I ask is that I be able to play the account I have owned for a year now and spent all this money on no one has even tried to help me this far all Microsoft cares about is money yeah yous got your couple hundred so who cares if I get helped eh?

 

and so what Microsoft owns all accounts cause if that's the case that's **** whoever created the account should have the right to do whatever the **** they want with it whenever they want just like I want my **** account or money
back rn cause im pissed

 

The account that a user creates only allows the user access to the services the company provides.

No difference from leasing an apartment. A person does not own the leased apartment, the person makes payments for the right to use the apartment and furnish how they like.

In this example, your staying in the apartment, but not on the lease (you're illegally subletting the apartment as it were). The landlord doesn't know who you are from anyone else off the street. The person who's name is on the lease is the only one that
can get anything fixed in the apartment.

As I said it in my first post, and I will say it again, the
account creator will need to contact support to get the password reset.

The account owner will need to contact Microsoft Support, there's no other way to resolve this issue from your end, since you are not the account owner.
