PLEASE HELP! LIVE GOLD SUBSCRIPTION ON WRONG ACCOUNT

when i first got my xbox one (day 1) i was having issues with the xbox automatically signing in my girlfriend every time she walked into the room. now it turns out that she was signed in when i put in the details for my 12 month xbox live gold subscription.
so the subscription is now in here name.

i only realised this when trying to redeem my free games this month. now the problem with this is that i can not purchase things from her account so will not be able to get any of the discounts offered. although i will be able to download the free games
on her account to my xbox.

speaking to xbox support they say it is not possible to transfer the subscription to the correct account. i find this very hard to believe as surely it is a matter of some simple computer admin. anyway they put me on hold for 30 mins and then cut me off.

hoping that someone here may be able to help me out. i don't want all of my games to go missing when it comes time to renew my subscription onto the correct account.

Unfortunately they are correct, there is no way to transfer a subscription from one account to the other. Your best bet would be to go back to phone support and request talking to the billing team and see if they could consider it as an option, but with
that being said, its a long shot because it technically isn't something they lean towards to the best of my knowledge. They should still have notes about your call if you ring back.

Aside from that, if your partner is experiencing problems purchasing something, you can let her know that she is more than welcome to make a thread here and we can do our best to help out with that.

at the end of the subscription if i purchase a new subscription from my own account, what will happen to all of the games downloaded from the subscription on her account? will they be gone or will i still be able to play?

So long as your account is on the same console as her account, you can play eachothers content without issue. However if you get your own console, you would need to have her download her profile on your console to be able to play them as they are tied to
the account they were downloaded from rather than the console. The below page offers a lot of information about sharing content and gold.
