Please help, Controller RT Button Issue playing Forza 4, no Gas for acceleration

Yes, the stiffness is a problem for me too. I haven't had to shift in Forza yet (just started playing it) but it is a pain using them in GTA V, specifically when driving or flying.

the above video tells you how you are supposed to use the bumper buttons so that they are easier to press, but that only works when you use you only use your index (pointer) fingers to control both the triggers and bumpers. That doesn't work for situations
like driving or flying in GTA because those situations require you to use you middle fingers on the triggers and index fingers on the bumpers so that you can, for example, accelerate the car with RT while simultaneously shooting with the RB button.

If I used the bumper buttons as described in the video I would have to choose between pressing down the gas pedal or shooting, or between throttling up a flying vehicle's engine with RT and steering its rudder with RB.

You are correct, we cannot map the thumbstick directions to something else yet. I think that will be added soon.

I am also disabled and use the right stick up and down for gas and acceleration in Forza. I am not happy that most other racing games don't have analog gas/brake pre-sets.

I have my trigger locks set to short and it is kind of hard to switch them back and forth between racing and FPS all the time. But for now I have been using A for gas, X for brake, LT for e-brake, RT for boost or look back.

Just check in the accessories app and make sure that the settings are correct.

I sometimes forget to change my controller button layout settings when I go from Halo to Forza and so my acceleration and braking is affected because of my trigger set up. Basically the 'dead zones' are larger for Halo and therefore I can't control the braking
or acceleration as accurately if I'm using my halo controls for Forza.

With Halo Infinite, please make sure that the disc is inside the Xbox Console whenever you will play the game.

To fix the issue with Forza, please perform a power cycle by following the steps below:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Can you try the following then: Turn the console off. Press and hold on your controller the Y and RT buttons (RT is the right analogue trigger, that most games use as gas pedal in racing games or gun trigger to shoot in shooting games). With Y and RT held
down, press the Guide button on the controller to turn the console on.
