Please help. Cant download new updates or games. PC Gamepass Error code 0x800704c6

I understand that you are experiencing issues downloading games and updates on game pass.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please restart gaming services by opening Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Locate Gaming Services and select Advanced Options.

Click Repair, and if incase it won't work choose Reset. Restart your PC and retry the download.

And then clear the Microsoft Store cache because a corrupted cache files can block downloads. To do this, press Windows + R and type:

wsreset.exe

Wait for the command to finish and it will clear the cache and reopen the Microsoft Store. Retry downloading the game.

Next is to reset the Xbox App. Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

Find the Xbox App, click the three dots (⋮), and select Advanced Options.

Click Repair and Reset. Please launch the app again and start downloading.

Then make sure that your PC has the latest updates, as outdated system files can cause issues. Do this by opening Windows Update in Settings. Click Check for Updates and install any pending updates.

After that is to use a different network because even if your connection appears fine, there could still be hidden ISP issues. Temporarily connect to a mobile hotspot or a different Wi-Fi network to rule out ISP restrictions.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall the Xbox App via Settings > Apps. Download and install the latest version from the Microsoft Store.

Are you not able to re-download NMS? If you uninstalled and then downloaded it again, you should now have the latest version.

Game Pass app doesn't work the same way as other downloading services on PC like Steam, Origin or Epic Store. Game Pass app doesn't download anything itself, it's more of a portal, downloads are completed via the Windows Store, including updates.

Generally if there is a download issue it will be with Windows Store, not Game Pass.
