PLEASE HELP, can't connect to xbox live since 30.12.2014

Please help me, I desparately need a solution for this problem. I was able to perfectly connect to xbox live, play online, even make online purchases but all that came to an end at 30.12.2014. Until then I had no issues connecting and staying online for
whole days long. But now it is 10 days since my console can't connect and I really have no idea why. I tried every troubleshooting tip on the support page, called my ISP and still nothing. Every other device in my home can connect just fine exept the xbox
360. I am starting to give up, so please tell me what to do. Here is some info, hope somebody is able to help

Can't connect to Xbox live since the update. Can someone please help me out with this problem

 

DNS Error

please guys i want to connect to xbox live but when i press test xbox live connection it connects only to the network ( wired connection) and doesn"t connect to the internet and xbox live. Please i am suffering SINCE THREE DAYS please help

 

I forgot to say, the Xbox Live connection test fails between Internet and Xbox Live, the error type is Live Connection Error

 

Yeah Xbox Live is not supported in Bulgaria, but yet somehow their consoles are sold everywhere, anybody can generally log in without issues, the prices on the Xbox Store are quoted in Bulgarian currency and we can easily subscribe for Gold.

But when we have a simple question about an issue with all the details listed, there is no one to help and they got an easy excuse. How convenient.

 

I have no knowledge of your particular internet service providers, but do you have a cable/dsl/fiber or 3g/4g connection? I can try and help with what I know, and generally that's a port issue, you're not getting an NAT error because you're not getting
that far!

-If you have a cable modem connected to your router, go direct to that.

-If you are connecting to some RF tower/Sat service check your router's Router Status page. No idea where it is, but it'll show you a Internet IP Address, it won't be (or shouldn't be) a private IP Address like 192.168.xxx.xxx.

- You should be able to go to www.whatismyip.com and see the same exact IP Address as what's in your router status page.

- If its NOT then that means you are getting "double natted" or "Double routed" you are connected to a router of your ISP's, and you have no control over their firewalls and ports.

- If it does match, and you are getting a public IP address, try putting your Xbox in the DMZ Host, if that fails, disable DMZ, and enable port forwarding. IF that fails you would want to factory reset, however that could break the router if it's on its
way out (general life is anywhere from 1-3 years, they can of course last longer, but that's when any hardware starts going out).

- You can try a firmeware update

- If that fails you can get a new router. (In my experience Belkins have a lot of nat issues, especially if you have more than one xbox).

- These steps are suggestions, but only if you are getting the public IP address. Your computers and devices do not require the same connection as xbox live does, that's why they are functioning, that's a simple connection upload/download.

 

Just because their consoles are sold everywhere, doesn't mean it's their fault. It's still nice to use offline, you choose to purchase the console in an unsupported region.

- the steps I provided above are for general in supported regions. Since it worked before, hopefully it's just a router issue. Or it could be an issue with your ISP blocking it out, or the Xbox Live Service. There's local laws that they have to follow
and it's not always their fault. I know in China they can buy the consoles but there is no Xbox Live and that's because of local restrictions. From your XYZ codes that I believe is your IP address, and I think that' a private IP. But again, these are guesses,
I"m just trying to help you out with what I do know.

 

So, my ISP is Fibermax ltd. The public IP matches (85.239.158.91 according to www.whatismyip.com), and DMZ and Port Forwarding both failed. I don't really want to touch anything on firmware or upgrading, I don't want to mess something up. Any other ideas?

 

so going on what I see from a translated version of their website, that's good, do you have a gateway, another box connected to your Tenda? (In general, at least here in the states, Tenda is not that great)

-A gateway is a modem/router combo, it may be bridged since your router has the public ip

-or you could have a type optical box that's outside your house, and that runs a cable into the inside.

How old is Tenda?

Do you have friends in the neighborhood that also connect and play Xbox Live? Can you try their modem?

Generally Live Connection Error is a router issue, in extreme cases I've seen it when a system update can't be downloaded, XBL issues, or a local issue but I think more of your friends would have problems.

At this point since DMZ & PF don't work (despite what you may read, please don't do this at the same time, it tells the router to do the same thing different ways, and just confuses it so it doesn't do it at all) you may need a new router. Here Netgear &
D-Link are great, A Netgear model WNR2000 runs $45-$55 USD.

Do you have more than one console?

-Again yes firmware updates can help, depends on how old it is, some companies stop supporting their routers early on, others will have updates, then factory reset. It's basic functions are not working, you shouldn't need to port forward or DMZ, thats a
type of bandaid. So it's technically already on it's way out or really not good for gaming in the first place (I've heard of people buying Belkin routers and immediately needing to port forward, it's just cause it's built for business and has extra firewalls
that can't be disabled, again in my experience).

 

I have only one Xbox console connected to the router. And yes I don't have a modem because my internet comes via a cable and is pluged into the router, if that's what you mean by modem/router combo. I've had my Tenda for about a year and a half, it's not
great but it did a good job connecting me to Xbox Live before. The part where I try someone else's network isn't going to help much because as far as I know my whole town gets it's internet from my ISP. And I can't just go around town carrying a Xbox trying
to find a free Wi-Fi zone. I also doubt the problem is in my router because I tryied a wired network (plugging the cable that comes into my house directly in the Xbox 360, thus removing the router factor) and got an error between Network and Internet this
time (DNS error, code 80151904). Maybe I need to call my ISP again, they seam to be up to something, still thanks for the help provided. Let's hope we can sort this mess out.

 

I want to say that this is still not fixed, I get exactly the same errors as I already stated. I don't think it is on my end as I talked to my ISP several times and they told me they can't do anything about it. Could it be directly from Microsoft? I did
everything I could to solve this but still nothing, so I highly doubt the problem is in my router, ISP etc. If it is a problem with the Microsoft servers in my area, please look into this because I had no problems connecting to Xbox Live before. Thank you
