    Hey devs,

    Please read through this.

    You have a great idea with the Xbox app with features that the previous app was missing. (Minimise to tray [thank you, finally], Push to talk [again finally])

    However, I just came across one potential design issue which could turn a lot of gamers away from this. It appears the install destination of games through the Xbox App (beta) is hard programmed to the default App installs on Windows 10 (see photo below).

    I have a game PC with a dedicated drive for storing all my games, just games. Shouldn't I be able to choose where to install Xbox App games to that drive without needing to change the default Windows App destination as well.

    I would also love to see a change to the game details page to allow install location to be changed easily. Features other apps such as Steam have incorporated into their platforms for some time.

    I'm not suggesting the Xbox App should be a direct copy of these, but at least try to compete on the same ball park.

    The only option right now is to be able to change where ALL Apps and software is installed to in the settings of Windows 10.

    Although I do agree with you it would be nice to change so that we can install the games to a specific place.

    games doesn’t install on xbox app on pc

    Try setting up your installation drive, press the Windows Key + I to open Settings. Click System > Storage. On Windows 10, underneath the More storage settings heading, click Change where new content is saved.

    To change the default drive for new apps, use the New apps will save to dropdown. On the Xbox app, click the profile menu in the top-right and select the Settings options. Click on General. Under the “Game install options” section, select the drive to install games by default. Please try installing your games using drive C.
