Please force a gamertag name change....

My son made a mistake and changed his gamertag ( iuuu8iyyht )not knowing it was once and done, it was a mistake and we would really like to fix it one time without the 10 dollar charge. It would be much appreciated. I was looking for options online and
all I found was contacting xbox and claiming you were receiving hate messages. I figured I would try the truth and say my 5 year old who loves playing Minecraft and more, got somewhere he was not supposed to and we made a mistake. It would really be appreciated
if we could change it.

Gamertag issue...

@Swift Hen 74 The only time they do a force name change is when it is offensive.

Also note if the gamertag is given a few too many force name changes it will be permanently suspended.

Sorry, but there is no way to get a free name change. The "telling Xbox you've been receiving hate messages" does not work. Forced name changes are only given when your gamertag violates the code of conduct. Even then you are given a randomly generated tag
and would have to pay for one of your own choosing.

To add to Ritzy's post, forced name changes result in a randomly issued name that if you don't like it, you'll have to pay to have that changed as well.

On a side note, I think hedgehogs are cute. There's even one with his own video game series, TV shows, comics, etc. I saw your tag and thought you were a fan/really good at those games.

If people are being disrespectful to you can always mute them, block communications with them, and if they are breaking the Code of Conduct you can report them. The reporting does work, but it can take time.

hello well you can only get a forced gamertag change if it is offensive. you would have to pay 10 dollars to change it though. and you would not want to report your gamertag because it messes you up later on like in the community.

Microsoft is changing your name? Gamertag? Could be a forced gamertag change, in which case that name is against code of conduct, and you cannot use that name
