    PLEASE fix the Edge browser on Xbox


    The Edge browser on Xbox is borderline unusable. Half of the time when you open up a new tab through a clicked link the tab loads and loads and loads and never takes you to your requested content, and it locks up the entire Xbox Guide meaning you can't even quit Edge without shutting off the Xbox entirely. It also freezes tabs constantly (mainly YouTube and other social media platforms), anbd when I was in the Update Preview, half of the time Edge would lock up and freeze for a few seconds, flash to black, then go back, and half of the time afterwards nothing would be clickable through the browser and I would have to hard reset the entire console to fix it. Please fix the Edge browser on Xbox!

    Should be noted if you are trying those 3rd party streaming sites

    No console browser will work with those as flash is depreciated and discontinued

    Not even modern desktop browsers have it anymorw

    Console browsers work well with html5 websites like YouTube

    Don't worry Xbox is rolling out the new Chromium-Based version of Edge to Xbox insiders so, it's not too long until Edge works faster.

    Nilay here and I'm glad to answer your query today.

    I'd recommend you uninstall the browser and reinstall it. If the browser is edge then please reset the edge browser from settings. Go to settings and open apps there. Reset edge from there.

    Microsoft Edge on my Series X keeps telling me i need to update no matter how many times i've pressed the update now option

    Please remember that Edge on Xbox is not a desktop browser. It has features intentionally disabled for security reasons.
