Please do not make the Series X|S UI 4K, keep it 1080p

Please, do not do what Sony did.

4K UI is NOT important AT ALL.

What IS important, is resources for game developers.

We don't buy consoles for the UI resolution.

We want game developers to have all the resources they can on these consoles to create the best games they can for these consoles.

Please do not make the console less powerful by taking resources away from developers to make the UI 4K.

1080p UI is absolutely 100% GOOD. Please keep it 1080p and let developers keep thos extra resources that 4K UI would take up.

Anyone complaining about 1080p UI, were not complaining before "4K UI" became a thing. It is reactionary. Some people pushing this are not thinking about the consequences.

Do not sacrifice performance or anything at all for a 4K UI. Nobody will know the difference, nobody cares. It's just a UI. We have the consoles to buy and play games the best it can be played on the consoles.

Honestly, I was let down when Sony announced the 4K UI. The sacrifice is not worth the higher resolution UI that nobody will sit there noticing. PS5 is already less powerful than the Series X (maybe a little bit, not by a lot) before the 4K UI, and then they go and make it even less powerful by implementing a 4K UI.

I don't care how many people you disappoint by leaving the UI 1080p; it is better now and in the longrun. People will forget about the whole 4K UI thing, but nobody will forget what could have been on these consoles in terms of games and game developers' limitations - don't give them limitations, keep their limits lifted.

series s will struggle on demanding games to keep 60fps at 1080p. the series x will struggle to keep 60fps at 4k thats for sure. the series x will be ok at 120fps at 1080 and most likely 1440.

Does the 1080p support go for both the Series S and Series X, or just the Series S?

1080p is supported by both Series X / S,

However if your only playing at 1080p and have no plan's of upgrading to a 4K TV / Monitor, The Xbox Series S would be recommended as is a 1080p / 1440p gaming console and you would save £/$200, than getting the Series X, as that is a 4K gaming console and
you would never get to use the full potential of it if used on a 1080p TV / Monitor.

First you need hdmi2.1

Second series s isn't a 4k console and wouldn't recommend it because of the design

Because Irs not a 4k console it doesn't need UHD files making games smaller for the reduce space and power of the series s as thats how smart delivery is designed

Most games will only do 960p

It will struggle with anything above 1080p

It can do 4k movie streaming but not gaming

If you wanted 4k gaming you should've bought series x or xbox one x

Well no it's not supposed to do 4k with most games and doing it with the series s would cause artifacts

If you are streaming you can do 4k as it doesn't require that much power

The series x and Xbox one x ps5 and switch pro are 4k consoles

The series s can only do 4k with certain titles and mostly ms ones and not very well

Most games will be locked at 1080p or 1440p at most

Smart delivery will not give you Uhd textures due to the space and proccessor

Yes, The Xbox Series X will play at 1080p fine, but the Xbox Series X is a 4K gaming console,

If you're not planning to upgrade to a 4K TV / Monitor, I'd say it not worth getting the Series X in my opinion, you're much better off with the Xbox Series S as that is a 1080p / 1440p gaming console and you'll save some money if you're staying at 1080p,
