    Plea to act for Ukraine by creating opinion the way we can


    Hi,

    I am reaching out to you since you are have the power to influence.

    A suggestion to affect the opinion of Russia from the inside and to create a sense of shame:

    Block russian connections to game-servers and block russian computers from starting games that does a ”call home” before they start. This preferably then also includes all games on Playstation, XBox & phones.

    This for example with a message ”Russia has regretfully attacked its neighbor Ukraine, a peaceful sovereign state and russian people are therefore no longer welcome to play here”.

    This will ensure that a clear message reaches the Russian people through their younger generation.

    For everyone that is a parent we also know what it means when the kids no longer can play.

    All in all it becomes a simple and non-dangerous strongly opinion-creating action. The younger generation will feel it like being thrown 20 years back in time and the sense of isolation will become very strong.

    The lost income should be seen as neglectable in relation to the effects. Speaking for myself, I would gladly pay a higher monthly fee if that’s what it takes.

    No one can do all but all can do something. If we don’t act - who will?

    This is what is written on the region's site regarding Ukraine. Half a year ago "console games" wasn't available,

    Well, if you are not a Microsoft employee, then there is no way we can know for sure.

    Why Microsoft has banned entire Ukraine from accessing xbox servers?

    As EggsBoxJaun stated, it's probably to do with the Ukraine not being a supported Xbox Live region. There is nothing Microsoft can do, as there is no official support in the Ukraine for Xbox Live.
