Playstation Plus msvcp12.dll missing on windows 11

Hello,

I am trying to install Playstation Plus on Windows 11 but I get the error message msvcp12.dll missing. I downloaded both the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) and (x86) but I still get the same message. What else should I try?

Hello,

I only installed both x64-x86 Visual C++. I tried Playstaion support but they could not help me. Its a new laptop and so far it happens only with PS plus installer.

I can advise you some things, but if the issue persist you may need to reach PlayStation support.

But first tell me what else did you tried so far? (Besides installing both x64-x86 Visual C++)

If you try installing a different program something similar happens or only with the PS Plus installer?

Let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more, please try this:

0. If you have an antivirus or similar software (including Windows defender) please disable all the protections temporarily and try again

A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again
