Discus and support playing Xbox game discs on PC (Xbox 360 & Xbox One games on disc) in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; This might be a stupid question but, is it impossible to play my owned Xbox 360 and/or Xbox one physical discs on pc.     This might be a stupid question but, is it impossible to play my owned Xbox 360 and/or Xbox one physical discs on pc. If you can how does one go about installing said game onto a pc. of not, why is this something we cannot do yet. it is stupid that i have to re-buy a bunch of games on the Xbox app just to play the same games I already own on disc. this needs to be fixed

    XBOX 360

    The compatibility for discs and games only works backwards, not forwards. Xbox One discs can be played on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 discs (being the older console) can be played on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, Xbox discs (being the oldest console) can be
    played on all three consoles. The Xbox One is currently the newest console that is out, and therefore, its games only works on its system.

    Past that, you'll have to get the right disc to play on the Xbox 360... it should say Xbox 360 on the case and the disc for the game.

    Are you playing the games with the Xbox 360 game disc in the drive? It is no different than Xbox One disc-based games, in that you must have the game disc in the drive to play it.

    That would be because It's an Xbox One disc, and they only work on Xbox One's and so your PC will not recognize the disc. If it is a play anywhere title you will need to own it digitally to be able to play across PC (Windows 10) and Xbox One.

    If you want a disc copy of the game that will work on your PC you will need to purchase a disc for PC and make sure that your PC meets the requirements of the game.

    Hiya,

    You'd need to keep your Xbox 360 in order to play any sort of Xbox 360 content (game discs, games on demand, xbox live arcade titles, etc). Your profile can co-exist on both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One so if you wish to earn some achievements or simply go
    play that game you can do so on the Xbox 360 console.

    The Xbox One will only play Xbox One game discs, games on demand discs, as well as Xbox LIVE Arcade titles that have been released on the Xbox One.
