Playing with two players at home on cloud gaming

Hello, We recently got an xBox X and are trying the GamePass and cloud gaming. We would like to play a racing game with two players at home (not with anyone online) and are having trouble starting a two player game. Is this possible with cloud gaming? We have tried signing two accounts on, adding an account to the primary user's "family", assigning controllers to each account, and adding a guest player. Even with all this, we can still not find an option to add two players when looking in Dirt 5 or other racing games. Is there a step we are missing or a different game where we will have success? I would think playing a two player game would be a simple task!

Cloud gaming only supports one person at a time locally. There’s a lot of sleight of hand that makes this work, and currently the system can only track a single player.

I am afraid that for cloud gaming, it doesn't support yet local multiplayer using two controllers. It is because the cloud gaming uses a web-based functionality and it has a different function as installed games on the system.

He's playing under his Mum's account, which he plays Fortnite and all the other cloud games on. We have an issue of playing two player games, just can't seem to figure it out.....want to play It Takes Two together or any other two player games. The controller is set up but not for two player games>>

Same Issue. Needed to download game to play two players with guest account. Did not work via Cloud. Tried everything.
