    Playing with an incomplete install?


    I got Forza 6 yesterday and, very annoyingly, the install got stuck at 88%. I've looked into this problem and tried all the solutions - hard resetting, installing offline, deleting local content - but regardless of what I try, the install always stops at
    88%. For the most part the game is still unplayable at this point because it wants to download an update which, despite my healthy internet connection, won't get going when I've connected online again.

    On one attempt the update did fully install (the game got up to 90% that time.) I could play the game finally and did for a bit, but soon wiped the data in pursuit of that elusive 100%. I haven't been able to get the game to a 'ready to start' state since.

    But suppose I did. What issues would I run into playing a game that is 90% installed? I'm imagining just hitting a brick wall as soon as something from that final 10% is required and being stuck in an infinite load screen.

    I'm going to return the disc today and ask for a new one but I can't imagine this will make a difference. I would really appreciate any new advice.

    Sorry I missed your Gears 1 weekend . .. too busy playing GOW3 at the moment. I will play though. Hate seeing those incomplete achievements! Playing with an incomplete install? :)

    Questions reguarding gamerscore

    Why be bothered about incomplete scores? Just play & complete games as you would if you were playing them on a pre-Achievements/Trophies console.

    You explanation sound reasonable, thanks! After an incomplete installation, I removed everything (Steam App, Package Data, Roaming-Profile). A new installation is not possible, the problem is exactly the same as in the original question. I remember having
    played around with the network-data setting after the first incomplete installation.

    Does anybody know where the link to the Microsoft account is stored? Even after the complete uninstall, I am never asked again for my Microsoft account.

    yet another un-explained glitch

    sorry I was sleeping as I wrote this. I mean incomplete.

    The only thin I found was when I played on a Hopper. I can´t find a incomplete match that I played.

    Does everyone have incomplete games or just some people?

    Interrupted installation left 45 gig of data on my 250 sdd drive. Need to remove it and don't know how!

    Because it's an Xbox game, the incomplete install requires special admin right to delete. Your recommendation to delete the game, all if necessary, my be my only option. Thank you.
