    Playing the same game on an XBox One S and XBox Series S at the same time


    Hello, I must confess that the XBox licensing is so confusing to me.

    I have an XBox One S and a microsoft XBox Gamertag and a digital copy of Minecraft.

    I have now purchased an XBox Series S for my use and it is set as my HOME XBox and my games are now downloaded to this new XBox Series S.

    What I would like to do is give my old XBox One S to my two grandsons who live in a different part of the country to me (3 hours away) so that they can log in to the XBox One S and play Minecraft, and hopefully other games, with me. So my questions are:

    1 Most importantly is this legal as I'm not trying to cheat in any way I just want to play Minecraft with my grandsons on XBox?

    2 If it is leagal, is it possible and how do I achieve this?

    3 Will my games still be on the old XBox One S or will I need to buy another copy of Minecraft for the old XBox One S?

    An Xbox One S is not the same as a Series S. You would not be able to play Series S/X games on that console.

    No console works that way

    You at going to have to assign the xbox one s as your home console and your series s as your roaming console meaning you are going to havr to sign in online on your accounr or the xbox series s anytime you want to use your games.

    While the xbox one s can use any game offline or online on their profiles and yes they need to be on their profiles.

    and join party's and play the same game together, no matter who is playing on any of these consoles.

    Series consoles have s or x requirements physical or digital plus the power difference

    It actually would. There's an Xbox One, One S, and One X that are all in the same family. Then there is the Series S and Series X that are in a completely different family of consoles.

    An Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X. The game will not work on an One X.
