Playing the Forge on Halo 5: Guardians

My son is trying to plat the Forge on Halo 5: Guardians but he cannot. He gets an error message which says he does not have the right security and privacy setting. I changed the setting many times but it still does not fix the problem. What are the minimum
privacy and security setting needed so he can play Forge on Halo 5: Guardians?

Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10 PC FAQ

Halo 5: Guardians forge launched on Xbox One console December 16, 2015. It is by far the most intensive, expansive, and impressive version of forge that Halo has seen. Until now! Forge for Windows 10 PC launched today and brings several unique features to
the table.

Q: What are some of the new features?

A: Forge for Windows 10 PC will include:

• Keyboard and mouse support
• 4K Resolution support
• Build on Windows 10, publish to Xbox One
• Ability to test and play forge creations with other friends on Windows 10
• Up to 16 players

Q: I don’t like using a keyboard and mouse, can I use a controller on PC instead?

A: Absolutely! You can switch back and forth between the two as you like.

Q: Will we be able to cross-play between Windows 10 PC and Xbox One?

A: No. Cross-play is not a supported feature of Forge on Windows 10 PC.

Q: Can I Forge or play custom games with other Windows 10 PC users? And will Xbox Live Gold be required?

A: Yes! You will be able to forge with other users and play custom games with other people on the PC platform. Xbox Live Gold is not required for any part of Forge for Windows 10, not even to download. It is 100% free.

Q: Does content transfer from Forge for Windows 10 PC to Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One console?

A: Absolutely. Content created on the PC will be able to be shared with users playing on console and vice versa.

Q: How will this affect Forge in Halo 5: Guardians?

A: The in-game forge will be updated to mirror the PC version of Forge and will have access to all the same content.

Q: Is there a content browser?

A: Yes. You will be able to search for maps, gametypes, and/or pre-built constructs from the menu. You can search the browser by Gamertag, keywords, and tags. This browser will be available on console as well as PC.

Q: Is there a tutorial for Forge?

A: You will be able to find tutorials on the new
Halo App.

Q: What kind of PC do I need to be able to use Forge for Windows 10?

A: A pretty powerful one. The minimum specs that you will need to run Forge at 30FPS are:

• Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, version 1607 or later
• DirectX 12
• AMD FX 6350 or Intel Core i5, 2.3GHz
• AMD R7 260x or GEFORCE 650 TI
• 2GB of VRAM
• 8GB of RAM
• 40GB of HDD
• 1080p monitor

Q: What can players expect with Halo 5: Guardians' campaign?


A: A lot has gone down since the events of Halo 4, and the Master Chief may be in a little bit of trouble. Spartan Locke, one of the highest ranked Spartans in the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), is leading Fireteam Osiris to search for the Master
Chief to bring him in. While Spartan Locke is on the hunt, Master Chief is leading his own squad, known as 'Blue Team', to carry out Master Chief's mission to stop the biggest threat in the galaxy.

What crimes does the Master Chief have to answer for? The campaign features 15 missions for you to find out!

Q: How many multiplayer maps will be available at launch in Halo 5: Guardians?

A: At launch, there will be 21 multiplayer maps, with an additional 18+ that will be released post launch!



Q: What is the Warzone multiplayer mode?

A: Warzone is the exciting new addition to the Halo universe. Warzone is a 24-player multiplayer mode where you'll be battling other players in addition to AI controlled Covenant and Prometheans in the most massive multiplayer experience in the Halo
franchise. Earning REQ gives you the ability to bring in power weapons, vehicles, and more to give you an edge in this massive multiplayer mode.

Q: What is the REQ System?

A: Requisitions (REQ) are unlockable items that come in the form of weapons and armors, skins, assassination animations, and more. Players will earn REQ points after completing each match in Arena or Warzone multiplayer modes, which can later be redeemed
for REQ Packs that contain a variety of different Requisitions.
