Playing physical version of a game I own without the digital version updates

i own hunter call of wild physical and digital versions my digital version is so bugged from the developers updates and patches ( which in fact gave me all the bugs ) 42 and counting!! Its broke from what it once was. So i want to play the physical
version without all the updates go back in time to when it played with only minor glitches So to speak, However when i put in disc it installs but wont play until i update it, the only way it will start to work is offline but my box keeps trying to log in
then crashes and forgetting my wireless in network sett the disc wont install. Or is there a way to remove the digital copy completely so i can just buy new copy that isnt so bugged? Im afraid if i buy new copy old one will infect it. Any help would be appreciated

Game is really hard to play with all the glitches,lost a diamond and they did nothing. They make more problems than they fix.Don't think I'll be buying a game from them again.It's a shame cuz it was a good game.

If I'm understanding your question correctly the answer is unfortunately no. Buying a new copy of the game won't help as the updates will be applied to the game regardless of which version you own or buy (physical/digital). As my fellow ambassadors said,
the only way to play the game without the updates would be to install the disc and set your console to offline.

You can uninstall the digital game from your Xbox, but it will still be available to reinstall on your Xbox because the game is credited to your account. If you really want to remove it completely from your account you can reach out to Xbox directly by going
here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/ and a rep should be able to help you with this.

Thank you for the direction ive stumped for awhile now I really love this game even with the bugs it just got unplayable i dont mind if i have to buy new copy or console iif thats what i need ill just box this one up and put away with all my other systems
and delete my account and make a new one and start again now that im retired i have nothing but idle time ty again and ty all for your kind help and responses

Hi there,

if you want to install a game from disc without it updating then you should be able to set your console to Offline and install the disc.

Keep in mind that your save game, might be version specific, so your save game might not work with an not updated version of the game.

Also keep in mind that the game might update again when you set the console back to Online again.

Buying a new copy of the game will not result in any differences, also be aware that there are no usually differences game wise between a disc or digital version (Both receive the same updates)

The version on a disc itself will not change (or can be as you say be infected) so buying a new disc for example will not result in having a different version on disc.

As said the only way to install without updates is to go of line . But then your xbox will not up date either 👍
