Playing original XBOX games on XBOX 360 Slim errors

I purchased an authentic XBOX 250 GB internal harddrive, which from what I understand, I need to play original XBOX games on (Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Simpsons Road Rage, which, according to this, are both playable: Games : Top Issues).
I formatted the hard drive in the XBOX Slim storage settings. When I attempt to play either of the two games mentioned, I receive the following error: "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again. For more help visit: xbox.com/support" How
do I fix this? Thanks!

Xbox One and Kinect 2's exact size, cable length revealed

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

Stuck on the original xbox screen

So I recently ordered an xbox original game called, "The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind" the platinum hits version and just got it from the mail today. I tried to play the game on my 250 Gb xbox 360 slim and I'm stuck on the xbox original screen. I tried
to clean the disc, re-update the xbox 360 update, cleared the system cache and even try playing Halo 2 on the slim (that one works of course).No luck, the game is still stuck on the xbox original screen whenever I attempt to play Platinum hits Morrowind. Ugh
need some help..

 

Where did you purchase the drive from? Official Xbox hard drives should not need to be formatted on the console as they are made specifically for the console. Formatting could potentially remove the firmware that is required to run the program.

Also, if you purchased the hard drive from a site such as Ebay or Amazon you could still have purchased a 3rd party drive as sites like those are known to have drives like this. Even though they may have a sticker saying Official it may not be correct.

 

If you're sure you have an authentic drive and your games don't boot, try different video modes. Some games only load at certain output resolutions. You'll need to go into your Xbox Video Settings and play around with that. You'll also want to play around
between HDMI and AV/Component modes, as some games only boot with one or the other.
