Playing online with husband

We recently signed up for Xbox live under my Microsoft account. In order to go online does my husband also have to have an online account, or can we both use my account and play on our Xbox One and Xbox 360?

I found this thread about same issue. May it help for you

This is to help you guys with the frustration.

1. You cannot join another players game when you are in a party.

2. If you are in a party (private chat) you must hit the home button, click start on the party app and click on quit. Do the same thing with the game. This is a very important thing you will want to do in order not to start the console over.

3. When you both get back in the game, have one of you try to scroll over the other player's name on the roster, and click on join. If that is grayed out, have the other person invite you and then join the game.

4. Wait a few seconds and there you go, it miraculously works.

If you don't find a match (you probably won't) and you try to back out of the game, you both will be split after a few seconds. If that happens then repeat the join process.

If both profiles are on 1 xbox this is what you need to do,

1. Put in Rock Band game disc

2. Sign in with your account, choose instrument you would like to play

3. Sign in with husbands account, choose instrrument

4. From husbands instrument open the options menu and select drop out

By doing this your husband will remain signed in but he will not have to play. All the songs downloaded to his profile will now be available to play on your profile.

If you are playing offline and the songs are still not available to play it is because of licensing issues, to fix this you will need to go online and redownload the song that are giving you problems.

On the One you can share the gold as long as you set the console as your Home console. On the 360, each account would have to have their own gold subscriptions.

I have the exact problem with my account =( my husband plays the game online all the time but as soon as i try to split screen with him or even if I try to play it online by myself the game freezes right as its about to load the match! This sucks!

Digital games and add ons cannot be transferred between accounts, however if both your husband and son play on the same console, your husband can set the console as his home console and your son will be able to play any games your husband's account has.
