    Playing old Xbox One games


    Hello I have an Xbox one and I wanted to know if there was any way to play older Xbox games on the console. Like for example on PlayStation you can go to this site or this app on the console and play a bunch of old PlayStation 2 games. I know some games
    are like backwards compatible but I'm looking for something that I can add to my console.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are seeking a way to play certain games on your console aside from the current Backwards Compatible [BC] catalogue.

    At this time, there are no other options to use on the Xbox One [such as emulators] to play older console games.

    Other then the BC titles, there is no other options on the Xbox One to play older games that are not part of this program.

    As there is no further info that we can provide to you on this matter, we will now be locking this thread.

    There are some 360 and original Xbox games included with
    Game Pass    . That would be the only thing outside of just buying the backwards compatible games.

    Hi,

    Backward compatibility just refers to the ability to play old games from Xbox and Xbox 360 on Xbox One consoles.

    If you want to play old games on the Xbox One you check in the Xbox Store to see if they are backwards compatible.

    You can play all games even old ones because of the BC. just a super strong console that plays all Xbox games old and new ones

    If you set the Xbox One S to be your home console, then everybody on the Xbox One S will have access to your Xbox Live Gold features, and your digital games. For anything on disc you'll obviously need a second copy. Your Game Pass games will be shared as
    well, and you and your kids will be able to play the games at the same time on both consoles. You don't need to be signed in, just make sure the Xbox One S is set as your home console.

    To access your content on your old Xbox One, your account will need to be signed in and you'll need to be connected to Xbox Live. So if your internet is down, you'll unfortunately be unable to play your games on the Xbox One, but you'll still be able to
    play your games on your 'home' Xbox One S. So if your kids want to play against each other, one can play on the 'home' Xbox One S, and the other can play on the old Xbox One as long as you are also signed in on the old Xbox One. But if you are playing with
    your account on the 'home' Xbox One S, then your kids will be unable to play on the old Xbox One. I hope that makes sense?

    You'll be able to download any games (old purchases or new ones) on both consoles. It's a good system and it works really well.
